They talk about the guest list for their dinner party, apparently it’s a pizza party. Jenn says Hope and Aiden are coming. Daniel asks if they can invite Eric and Nicole, and Jenn hedges, saying she knows about the lie he and Nicole told Eric.
So they proceed to create drama for nothing.
Guess what Jenn said? She said they were broken up at the time, so it’s none of her business. No kidding! So why was the Teresa thing her business? She says it was out of character for Daniel and it seemed like an ongoing deception. Yada yada yada. Anyone have rope? Kill me now.

I couldn't tell if Jenn was upset because Daniel was involved in a lie or because he was involved in a lie with Nicole. Is she jealous of Nicole on some level?

That entire conversation made me want to scream. Talk about two-faced. To Nicole's face Jennifer is playing her friend but behind her back she's calling her a bad influence and a chronic liar. Not that she's not but it's as though Jenn doesn't like Daniel's behavior so she's finding someone else to blame for it. I don't think Jennifer is at all comfortable with Daniel's new bff.
And let's face it, Daniel has been neck deep in lies, deceptions, and questionable behavior for years. I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before Jennifer gets on her morally superior high horse and dumps Daniel once again.

And since I've jumped on my Jennifer bashing band wagon today...She's all about honesty but she didn't share her weird breakup with Liam or that she was getting flamed on the work website and I wonder if she'll tell him about the strange photo she got today. I know she's tell Daniel it was all nothing or she didn't want to worry him but it's beginning to feel like honesty is a bit of a one way street.

I think she did want to be friends with Nicole and she was/is happy for Eric and Nicole. That was before she found out about that lie. I think Jennifer was just reacting to the news that Nicole is unfortunately repeating her bad history.
As much as we all hate it, the writers are having Nicole do exactly what Marlena and Jennifer are accusing her of. I wish they were wrong but they're not. Nicole IS reverting back to lying and manipulating. I hate it that she is but she is. Jennifer likes Eric, this isn't about control, the way it is with Marlena. I think she is just disappointed to hear that Nicole was lying again.

Jennifer was determined to make a point that it was Nicole's idea to lie(having asked Daniel to confirm this twice).
However, Jennifer was quite content to suggest that she and Daniel pretend they weren't a couple and date secretly in order to make JJ happy and smooth things over with him. I guess Nicole wanting to pretend that she and Daniel were a couple in order to help Eric is not the same thing in Jennifer's eyes.

I wanted to throttle Jennifer. I do get her wanting to make nice with Nicole and she's privately expressing hesitation. But really Jennifer?! It's out of Daniel's character to lie?! Please! Look at his affair with Chloe! Look at all he pointed out to you himself about Nicole/him/Rafe lying about the baby's paternity. He lied/misdirected the blame onto himself to protect JJ. So, if Nicole asks him to help her lie to Eric in order for Eric to allow her to help, then yes it's within Daniel's character!
With Nicole, yes we are seeing a bit more lying/deception out of her and it's so frustrating because it wasn't a slam-dunk that Eric would have gone back to the priesthood forever. I do think if she found the evidence, he would have attempted it but there would be the lingering effects of him telling her that he loved her, of him making his feelings known. I think there would have been internal struggle for him and he very possibly could have decided to walk away from the priesthood for her. And the ultimate good the evidence would have done just to clear his reputation once and for all.
