Nick is still at Gabi's apartment. He is telling her that he would like to spend his life making her happy. At this point, Sonny walks in to pick up a few things. Nick says he will leave but Gabi tells him to stay while she tends to Ari. Nick and Sonny have a few words. Sonny tells Nick that things will eventually blow up in his face. Nick plays innocent -- he has no secret agenda. Sonny leaves. Gabi tells Nick that he is the only one who gets her -- he agrees.

Sometimes I think Gabi deserves Nick.
This is how I imagine their future

At this point, she deserves whatever crazy he puts her through because she's inviting him in with full knowledge of who he really is!

LOL wendylou. I don't think Gabi is smart enough to understand who Nick is. She just knows how he makes her feel and she takes that at face value. I don't think she has the brain power or wisdom to look any deeper because she's not deep.

Gabi is very emotionally immature. At times like this, I really think having her sister around would have helped. Rafe has good intentions but he always comes off as an authoritarian figure, rather than someone that she can confide in and lean on without judgement.
It really is difficult to wish bad on someone who is just so needy and naïve. If Ari weren't involved, I would approve of Gabi getting what she deserves. God forbid Gabi end up pregnant with Nick's baby!

Gabi does not "deserve" Nick, she does not deserve the possible treatment Nick could fork out on her, she does not deserve any of the bad things that will inevitably be bestowed upon her by Nick...she's young, immature, naïve, and doing what she feels is best...by saying Gabi deserves it, you are taking the responsibility from Nick, the blame, the accountability...Nick is the bad one, the wrong one, the evil one.....Nick is manipulating her and he is good at it...it's the first time I've felt bad for Gabi....she doesn't have a clue, but not having a clue shouldn't be punishable by Nick.....

Gabi is an adult with, as far as we know, no mental disabilities, i.e. a working brain. Nick tried to manipulate and control her before. He tried to take her child away from her father and he tried to rape Gabi. There's a saying - fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Gabi has other options. She could have gone after a modeling contract on her own. She has a place to live with people who are fine with her contributing what she can and aren't asking her for money she doesn't have. She even had another guy interested in her. A guy who'd never done anything abusive to her.
Yes, Nick is very good at manipulating Gabi and others but Gabi does have a responsibility to be on guard when it comes to Nick because of past experience. She does have some responsibility in this, especially because she is now a mother with a child. Keeping that child safe is priority.

As Sonny said, the definition of insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results. Gabi is an adult and she is responsible for herself and her actions and she should at least be skeptical of Nick's intentions. Just as Brady was warned by the world about Kristen and didn't listen, she's been warned by the world about Nick. She is a fool.

I do agree with the sentiment behind what Pallison is saying. Because Nick IS the bad guy in this and he has a huge amount of blame in all this. But I can't fully sympathize with Gabi because of one little thing. Once Nick started making his case at the apartment and started blaming Kate/Sami and told Gabi he didn't blame her, her attitude towards Nick changed. There was a huge undertone of self-preservation in it for Gabi. Once he put all the blame on Kate and Sami, she was fine...since that meant she wouldn't be going to jail. And then she was like, "To heck with Sami and Kate and their somewhat warped way of helping me, I'm not going to jail!"
Gabi has a pretty comfortable situation living with Will and Sonny, not having to work, going to school, having adequate childcare, and even having T as a friend/potential boyfriend. The problem with Gabi is she is too busy wallowing, her "dream life" didn't happen and she's sulking and she can't see how good she has it or the potential love interests like T.

As the old saying goes "People only treat you one way...and that is the way you allow them to" I totally agree with rockfordfosgate! Gabi is her own worst enemy.

Yes, you all have valid points but to me saying Gabi "deserves" whatever Nick does to her is equivalent to telling the teenage girl, after her boyfriend knocked the crap out of her, that she should have kept her mouth shut....or telling the young woman after her husband beat her that she shouldn't have made him mad....and I know Nick hasn't struck Gabi, but it's all the same and as long as abusers are excused and the victim is at fault or deserves it, nothing will ever change.... Okay, I'll lighten up now.....

I'm not saying that at all. My main point goes back to the saying I mentioned before and so we don't go round and round, I'll leave it at that.

Good lord, I don't believe any of us were "excusing an abuser"!! Gabi is NOT simply a naive young girl being taken advantage of by some violent SOB. We have all seen the lengths Gabi will go to in order to get what she wants, after all, this IS the girl who was perfectly willing to leave her best friend as a kidnapped victim to a much more dangerous psycho just to keep her butt out of jail. Once again, she's perfectly willing to let Nick use, blackmail, and torment Sami & Kate (who only got involved to help HER dumb behind) as long as he isn't blaming her. Nick is scum of the earth who deserves everything he gets, but Gabi certainly does NOT deserve anyone better than him. Like T said, if she goes back to a psycho like Nick then she's definitely not good enough for T. So no, Gabi does not "deserve" to be beaten, raped, and any other violent act, BUT she most definitely will deserve to wind up in jail for her own crimes and to lose custody of her daughter for knowingly allowing a psychopath into that poor child's life.
