Why do I have a feeling that everyone is going to turn on Philip now and think that he had a part in all of this.

Chapter 46
Philip stepped inside Parker’s room and he nearly sank to his knees when he saw his little boy. Parker’s head was bandaged, but you could see blood on the gauze. He had tubes going in and out of his nose and mouth and he was hooked up to machines. His face was pale except for black and blue bruises around his eyes. He looked like he was dead, except that his little chest was rising and falling as he breathed.
Philip stepped closer and took a seat at Parker’s bedside, gently picking up his little hand and squeezing it between both of his own. His vision blurred with tears as he looked at his son. Never in a million years did he expect to sit vigil like this. Only a few months ago, he sat by Parker’s mother’s bedside, willing her to get better. He prayed that Parker would have a better outcome than his mother has so far.
“Hey big guy.” Philip’s tears were now flowing freely, as he whispered. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t here for you sooner. I’m especially sorry I wasn’t there to stop you from falling. If it weren’t for all the lies and deceptions, you wouldn’t have even been at the playground with Daniel today. Melanie said that ‘sorry” isn’t enough, but I don’t know what else to say except I love you so much. All I want to do is protect you. I want to keep you safe, keep you from hurting. ... I know I’ve failed you so far, Parker, but I won’t fail you again. I promise. I’m gonna make sure you have a good life, a long and happy life. You’re gonna grow up and break some hearts and fall in love and have a family of your own. You just need to do one thing for me. You need to get well. And I need to have faith that both you and your mom are going to get better. I’m gonna do everything in my power to make that happen.”
Philip kissed Parker’s hand. He looked up when he heard the door open.
Craig looked at Philip’s tear-stained face and just nodded. Philip took a deep breath and rose to his feet. Craig surprised Philip by moving closer and putting his arms around Philip. He patted Philip’s back. “I’m going to do everything in my power to help you make that happen,” Craig said. “You and me ... we’re going to take good care of my daughter and grandson.”

So glad that Craig is now on Phillip's side. With Craig & Victor in his corner, he is in alot better shape!!

I'm glad that Philip and Craig are working together to help Parker and Chloe. Philip must be relieved to have the truth come out. Now he can be with Parker during the next critical 48 hours.

Previews for the week ahead.
Philip has a very odd encounter at the hospital.
Philip endures a mini interrogation as Daniel and Maggie want to know what Philip knew and when.
The men put their heads together and figure out what is happening to Chloe at The Oaks.
They have to get Chloe out of there before it’s too late!
And check back a little later today for a bonus chapter!
