The truth about Parker's accident? Hmmm... Thanks for the previews. I'm guessing it means that Philip will find out Daniel was kissing Jennifer instead of watching Parker.

Chapter 42
Melanie came rushing toward Philip. She grabbed his lapels and cried against his chest. He held her arms and pushed her back, shaking her gently. “Mel,” he said, searching her face. “Where’s Parker? Please god, tell me he’s okay.”
Melanie shook her head no. “There was so much blood. He’s so little.”
He shook her more roughly. “Tell me! What happened?? Where is he?”
Melanie turned around when she saw the other men looking in the opposite direction. Kayla and Daniel were coming out of an examining room looking grim. Jennifer, who had been sitting in a waiting room, gathered around, along with Craig, Maggie, and everyone else.
“How’s Parker,” Brady asked first.
“He’s in critical condition,” Kayla explained. “He’s got swelling on the brain and he’s lost a significant amount of blood. We’re prepping him for surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain.”
“What kind of surgery,” Victor asked.
“The surgeon will drill two holes in his skull,” Daniel said haltingly.
Philip’s heart sank to his stomach. He felt sick. It felt like everything was far away and surreal, as if he was just watching the action as his eyes darted from one speaker to the next. “Is it dangerous,” he managed to ask. He didn’t want his little boy to have to endure something so drastic.
Craig answered Philip’s question. “It’s a common procedure for releasing the pressure when a patient with a head injury has a subdural hematoma.”
“What are the long-term effects,” Maggie asked. “Will he lose his memory?”
Kayla looked at Daniel who appeared to be lost in his own world, so she answered Maggie’s question. “His cognition probably won’t be affected, but ... but if we don’t do the surgery, he could die. I’m sorry.”
“Dad,” Melanie grasped her father’s arm. “Are you okay?”
Daniel nodded slowly. “I will be ... when Parker’s out of the woods.”
“I’m gonna go donate blood, okay,” Melanie said.
Looking around the room, Daniel added, “Not only blood. There’s a little boy that needs our prayers.” Daniel rubbed his eyes.
Jennifer approached Daniel and put her arms around him. “I’m so sorry Daniel,” she said.
Philip spun around and faced away from the doctors. He covered his eyes with his hands, as if closing his eyes could make this nightmare stop. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he thought about Chloe. Chloe should be here with her son. Parker can’t die without his mother. He can’t die at all. Philip never felt so useless in his life.Thank you to djm, our resident nurse, who I consulted while I was writing this chapter.

Poor Parker. I hope he is going to be okay. Phillip is correct!!! Chloe needs to be there for her son. This may be just what she needs to snap out of the mess the doctor has her in!!

It's a nightmare that Philip can't escape. Poor Parker. It's even worse that his mom can't be there with him.

Chapter 43
Hours went by and Philip paced around the lobby waiting for the doctors to let Parker have visitors. Thankfully, the little boy came through the surgery, but the first 48 hours are critical, Kayla said. Oh god, how was Philip going to get through the next 48 hours when these last few hours were sheer torture.
Philip felt EJ’s eyes on him and he wished Dimera would just go away. He had more than enough to worry about without those accusing eyes on him.
Why was this happening, Philip wondered. There was enough suffering in this world, enough suffering in his own world. Parker was an innocent, he didn’t need to be fighting for his life. It just wasn’t fair. He didn’t even know how the accident happened, only that he was at a playground with Daniel.
Right now, for the first time, Philip was glad that Daniel believed Parker was his own son. As a doctor, Daniel would move heaven and earth to see that Parker survives, he would stop at nothing to make Parker well again.
As he continued pacing, Philip watched doctors and nurses streak by in what appeared to be a panic. People he knew were milling about. Brady, Maggie and Victor, Craig, Lucas -- when did Lucas get here, he wondered -- Jennifer, Melanie, EJ, and even Nicole.
He saw Jennifer’s daughter Abigail rush over and hug her mother.
“Mom! What happened.”
“Oh Abigail, it’s just so so awful. I can’t even talk about it.”
“Is Parker going to be okay?”
Jennifer shook her head. “I don’t know. I don’t know and it’s all my fault.”
That comment caused Philip to raise an eyebrow. What did she mean?
“What? What are you talking about? How is this your fault, Mom?”
“I was there.”
“You were there? You were where?”
“At the playground. I just had to see Daniel. I had to speak to him, see if we could salvage our relationship.”
“I know. I encouraged you to talk to him. You guys belong together.”
“I know,” Jennifer nodded.
“So keep going, what happened?”
“Oh. Well, I showed up at the playground and I told Daniel that JJ was going to military school and was really really excited about it, and that I thought this was a chance for me and Daniel to be together again.”
“What did he say?” Abby asked.
“He said he wanted that too.”
“Wait,” Abby interrupted. “What does any of this have to do with Parker?”
That’s exactly what Philip wanted to know as he hung back just far enough away to hear the whole conversation.
“I kissed him.”
“Kissed who?”
“Daniel. We kissed. And when we stopped kissing, we saw Parker up on the monkey bars,” she recalled. “You remember how much he likes to climb. Remember when he climbed on the chair when JJ was babysitting?”
“So what happened, Mom?? Tell me!”
“When Daniel saw Parker climbing, he panicked and called to him. I think Parker got scared and he lost his balance. That’s when he fell.” Jennifer put her hands to her face. “Oh god. When he fell, his head hit the concrete that anchors the monkey bars into the ground.”
Without thinking, Philip interrupted. “You and Daniel were kissing?? You let a two year old boy climb on the monkey bars unsupervised while the two of you made out??” Philip’s chest was heaving and his rage was building. He grabbed Jennifer’s arms tightly and shook her as she cringed. “What the hell kind of people are you?”
“Philip!” Abigail tried to pry Philip’s hands off of Jennifer. “Let her go. Leave her alone!”
Daniel emerged from Parker’s room and saw the commotion. “What the hell is going on here?”
Philip released Jennifer and grabbed the lapels of Daniel’s medical coat. “This is all your fault,” Philip said through gritted teeth. “How could you take your eyes off Parker to satisfy your own libido? How are you gonna live with yourself if Parker dies?”
Brady and Craig rushed over and pulled Philip away from Daniel. “Philip, stop it,” Lucas shouted. “Jen, are you okay?”
Daniel shook his finger at Philip. “My boy is in there fighting for his life, do you realize that? I do not need you or anyone giving me any more grief. Nothing could make me feel worse than I already do, not even you.” Daniel looked at Brady. “Get him out of my sight. Get him out of here.”
“Daniel,” Jennifer hesitantly approached him.
Daniel looked at Jennifer and shook his head from side to side. “I can’t do this right now,” he said. Then he headed back to Parker’s room.
“Let’s go get some coffee,” Lucas suggested to Philip.
“Good idea,” Brady added. “Make it decaf. Philip is already wound too tight.”
Philip’s eyes were glued to the door of Parker’s room. “I’m not going anywhere.”
“I know how you feel, brother,” Lucas whispered, “but you’re gonna end up being thrown out if you keep this up.”
Philip squinted at Lucas, and he spat, “You don’t know how I feel. You have no idea. No one does.” He turned his attention back to the door of Parker’s room.
The door opened and Daniel gestured toward Maggie. “Mom, Craig, come.”
Philip’s lips parted as he watched Maggie and Craig being waved inside. “I have to get in there. I need to see Parker.” He made a beeline for Parker’s room.

I doubt Daniel will approve Philip to visit Parker. I like EJ observing everyone as he waits for the truth to be exposed.
