Eric and Sami leave Nicole and Marlena to talk. Sami wants an explanation but won't stop bad mouthing Nicole long enough for Eric to get a word out. He tells her to be quiet and listen. She reluctantly shuts up. he tells Sami he made the decision and Sami replies that Nicole made it seem that way. He again tells her to listen. He tells Sami that he didn't want to live in limbo and also about Chyka.

Yet another snooty know-it-all who will be proven right by Nicole's stupid actions when it comes out.

It must be so tiring to be related to Sami -- she is a force of nature. I will give Eric credit, she did listen to him, even though she turned it around to be about her and the Dimeras.

Given the history between the two women I don't find it a bit surprising that Sami was suspicious of Nicole. They always talk nasty about each other. It's nothing new.

Am I the only one who thought Eric looked extra yummy today?
Theresa accepting Eric's announcement without judgment was probably the most likable thing I've seen her do. He was so surprised after everyone else's reaction.

I had a different interpretation of Theresa's reaction. While she was correct that it is Eric's life and he should do what he wants, I sensed it was more indifference from Theresa than anything else. Theresa doesn't seem to have a connection or concern with anyone in the Brady family(with the exception of Caroline perhaps).
I could listen to Eric's voice all day every day, so I was annoyed with Sami for being so long-winded. Does anyone in the Brady family realize that Eric is a grown man and can make a decision for himself?

I agree @dukeblue. I don't think Teresa cares one way or the other about Eric being a priest. She's not close to her family in Salem other than maybe Caroline.

I had the same feeling Dukeblue. It was the reaction I was expecting from her.

You guys may be right but I thought it was more like she thinks the Bradys are all a bunch of goody goodys and she could relate to them giving him a hard time because he wasn't living up to their standards.

If my brother was giving up everything to be with the woman who not only crushed his heart but also stole my baby, I'd have had a good bit to say to him as well....especially given how naive Eric is.

Sami definitely needs to learn not to fly off the handle and take it down a few notches, but usually when she warns you not to trust someone, she's got a good point....it just gets lost in the histrionics! Which is why I'm happy to see her with Kate, Kate kind of balances her out and keeps the over-reactions down a bit.
