What are your plans for Super Bowl?
We usually get invited to a party but we haven't heard anything yet. We have a Plan B just in case.

Hubby's off work that day. We usually stay home and watch it, but record it too because with the girls around it's hard to watch everything. I want to be able to watch both the game and the commercials. But we will usually do a snack-type meal--nachos, finger foods, and some sort of sweet dessert.

I think we are staying home. I hate that it is a Sunday as it makes it hard to do anything when you have kids. I might figure out a way to do some chicken wings or something like that.

I agree MrsM. I wish it was on Saturday instead of Sunday. We will be at home.

I heard on the radio this morning that because the game is outside this year and the weather has been so bad there are contingency plans in place in case they have to play it on another day. Even though I do think it would be better if the game was on a Saturday I think it's kind of crazy that it could be held on a Friday or Monday because they knowingly voted to hold the game in a place where the weather could be a factor. I can't imagine them doing this unless it were unsafe for people to drive or something.

This is one of the worst winters to decide to play the game outside in the northeast.

No big plans for us. We don't have friends. I'm just kidding. Kinda. Seriously though, we aren't going to any parties and Hubs only watches because of the commercials. I like the football, but he only cares about the commercials. We are quite the odd couple.

An anti-Super Bowl party, actually. One of my girlfriends and her fiancée are doing a cocktail party--they are baseball and basketball folks.

I got confirmation this morning that the party we have been going to for several years won't be held this year. So we're going to have our own little party like we used to, just me and Ron. Nachos, beer, Cobb Salad (isn't that traditional Super Bowl fare?) and a loaf of bread, maybe that Fleishmann's bread. Yum! It's all about the food. LOL.

That is a great video Kpatch. Did you hear the backstory -- the mother was going to the Super Bowl 30 yrs earlier but couldn't because she was pregnant with the son that gave her the tickets. Loved the dogs.

That is a bittersweet backstory kathyj. Love how things sometimes come full circle.

Who's everyone rooting for?
I don't have a rooting interest; I'll be happy whoever wins. I just hope it's a good game.
