As you may have heard, Allison Sweeney is leaving Days after this year. Even though it's still a ways away, her comment about how she wanted Sami to leave made me wonder...How do YOU want Sami to go out? Please feel free to add all the creative and gory details below.

I'm kind of torn between wanting her to go out in a blaze of glory, either through a big crime she gets sent to prison for or murder, or a mysterious disappearance so she can return later. Maybe Stefano can kidnap her and keep her in the same place he kept Marlena decades ago because she has too much influence over EJ.

If she isn't sent to prison (for good this time) I don't think I'd be opposed to a suspicious disappearance. I certainly don't want her to take the kids and leave. And I don't think there's anything that would keep her from her kids, so I doubt she'd leave without them. Voluntarily anyway. Oh! Oh! Maybe she can "die" in a vat of acid, a la Hope on the Cruise of Deception.  |

Great question wendylou. MrsM, I wanted to like your post 500 times. I said someone kills her. Here's my idea. Nick turns up alive. He enlists Marge Bernardi's assistance. Around Thanksgiving time, they snatch Sami and drive her up to Watkin's Falls or whatever it's called. First they drown her in the river to make sure she dies. Then they toss her body into the falls. When her dead body washes up, EJ is overcome with grief, which Abby helps him deal with. He can't deal with the kids, so he and Abby move to England. Marlena and Roman have grief sex and finally get back together to honor Sami's memory, because her parents' reconciling is something Sami always wanted. Lucas and Cheryl raise Allie. Nicole and Eric raise Sydney. Rafe raises Johnny on his own. (Jordan left Salem months before.) |

I've been thinking about this since hearing her announcement. I'm not sure how I would prefer for her to go out. Given the way that other, more loved characters were thrown under the bus on their exits, I don't think it would be fair for her to get a resounding send-off. If she goes to prison for some of the things that she's done, will Stefano & EJ go too? As far as true love - Sami doesn't know what love is unless it's with herself so I don't see that happening. Not sure that i really want her killed off b/c there may be a need for Sami to reappear someday. Maybe send her to Hong Kong or something. Mysterious disappearance - well since Stefano is behind 99.9% of those, is it really all that mysterious?  Truth be told, I'm already over the announcement and don't really care since I don't expect any loose ends to be tied up when she does leave. |

Kpatch, I like it all except the part about Lucas and Cheryl. He can do better. But I especially like the idea of Marge coming back for vengeance.

I think Sami will get the exit that Allison wants. Sadly. I don't think they will kill Sami off as I think they will always keep hope alive that she would come back. They seem to put so much stock into the whole Sami Brady story that I am not sure they are going to do without her. I don't know if they know how to write a show without her.

Well, Allie said she wasn't sure whether she wanted her to get a happy ending or a "Breaking Bad" kind of ending (i.e. Getting killed in the end) so we're not sure which of those she even wants yet. I just think it would be fun for the show if the writers got creative with her exit since she has done so many ridiculously evil things to people on Days.

I think she will get carted off to prison with Gabi. I wonder if they will ever bring back the charatcer of Sami?

I think they should do the same thing with Sami as they did with Will...one day a different actress takes over the role and they continue on without any acknowledgment at all....after all, the roll of "Sami" hasn't exactly been known for stellar performances....the story lines are what has made her well known, well liked or well hated, not so much the acting.....

I know I'm in the minority, but I like Sami in spite of herself--always have. And I've always liked her with Lucas, since apparently I can't have him. So, honestly, I'd like to see her come to her senses, realize that Lucas has been the right guy for her all along, and the two of them move off to Hong Kong or someplace else with a company headquarters where they can pretend to work.
Maybe they can come back to Salem for visits.
Or at least Lucas can.
