Did you ever really really want something for Christmas (or the holiday of your choice) but didn't receive it?
What was it? And do you still think you might get it?

I am still holding out for my ruby mother's ring. Both the kids are July babies so I want a ring with rubies in it.

When I was a kid, I wanted ice skates. One year, I was as sure as sure can be that I was getting them from my parents. But I never did. Years and years later, I asked my mother why I didn't get them and she told me she was afraid I'd get hurt. Talk about overprotective. During my first few years of marriage, I gave Ron a list that included a Baccarat crystal kitty. He told me I was never getting that.  |

This Christmas I want more time. More time to: just look at my Christmas lights, see all the neighborhood decorations, really read all the Christmas cards, have long Christmas lunches with friends, and enjoy all the cookies and candies without guilt .
Oh, and I want a puppy.

The one thing I always wanted as a little girl and never got was a baby sister. Instead, I got a cute baby doll that looked real!! I was soooo disappointed that I didn't get the real baby, but I did get to play house with my brothers, so that was cool!! This year all I really want is a new wardrobe!!  |
