What you do is pick a Days character present only, and have them say what they are thankful for this past year. It can also be a character that was on the show recently that isn't anymore such as Brent or even a recurring character such as Dr Chyka.

Will: I’m thankful that my parents covered for me when the truth almost came out that I was the one who shot EJ. I'm thankful Grandpa Roman and Aunt Hope work for the Salem PD. I’m thankful that Nick’s plan to blackmail me didn’t work. I’m thankful that I didn’t die after Jensen shot me. I’m thankful for my daughter Arianna Grace. I’m thankful that Sonny forgave me. I’m thankful that Mom was exonerated for killing Bernardi. I’m thankful Rafe is going to recover. I’m thankful that John left Grandma Marlena because really, I could never stand him. And I’m thankful I’m still in Grandma Kate’s will.
