Possible storyline for Jay's return as Philip: Philip returns to Salem after being kidnapped and held hostage by sinister forces trying to gain control of Titan from Victor, explaining, Jay's extremely long hair and overgrown beard
     After he's rescued and returns home, he gets cleaned up, looking like the Philip of old....
