I fell in love with Philip when Jay Kenneth Johnson started playing the role in 1999. Imagine a grown woman in love with a boy. His character was so compelling and his smile was so alluring that he was simply irresistible. Still is.
Jay’s Philip has so many layers, so many shades of gray. He plays a great bad boy, yet he’s not all bad. Regardless of whether he’s playing the ruthless businessman, the romantic leading man, the jealous lover, or the rebellious son, he is a joy to watch. Not to mention drop-dead gorgeous ...
Oh hell, let’s mention it. That smile, those dimples, that chiseled face, the English poem and Greek god all rolled into one. Sigh.

Oh I knew I'd find this here...LOLOL! You pretty much summed it up. I can only add that I love Philip because he knows he's not perfect, doesn't even try to be. He may appear to be impulsive, especially in relationships, but his heart rules his head and I see that as a positive; he doesn't ever hold back, he's totally there for the people he loves. He loves his parents are maniacal as they can both be and truly understands the meaning of family. I feel like as much as some think he's just a spoiled brat, under that he's a little boy searching for approval and love, maybe even more so because everyone thinks everything comes easy to him.
And you already mentioned the dimples. so let me say that Philip's eyes are the windows of his soul...everything he thinks and feels is right there. Great acting Jay!

Philip has always been one of my favorite characters. I loved his relationship with Chloe when they were younger. Loved him and Martha Madison's Belle, they had serious chemistry and frankly I just love me some Philip. In fact I love all of Kate's sons...woman has good genes!

Jay is such an amazing actor, that while I'm devastated at our impending loss of him,I'm really not worried about him at all. He's going to do just fine, whether on the small screen or big screen. He has charm, wit, classic good looks (god those dimples....*sigh*),and talent that is off the charts.I've enjoyed his portrayal of the bad boy,the romantic, the comic and the knight in shining armor. When all rolled into one,it makes a very alluring package.Hopefully he'll grace our screens again soon.

You just left me speechless Peggy. And it's definitely too early in the day to be thinking and feeling the things I am thinking and feeling. I need to go splash my face with cold water.
Thanks girl!
