Do you have household or any other projects you are working on? Trying to get motivated to start a project? I wanted a place to share ideas, support or information. I know some of us are working on home renovations or outdoor projects. Or smaller goals.
I've been on a decluttering mission in my house. I started by going through the kitchen cupboard with all of the plastic containers. A lot of stuff went into my recycle bin. Also gave some kids drinking glasses to a friend's daughters.
I went through 2 and a half years of magazines. Tore out some articles and recipes I wanted. Some magazines I am giving to teachers.
I think decluttering will be a longer term project. Tackling a few areas has been motivating for me.
I realized how good it feels to get rid of things you just don't need.
I want to paint my bedroom and maybe the bathroom.
I'm also trying to use up the sample size beauty products, shampoos etc that were piling up in my linen closet. I didn't realize how many I had. Not sure what I was saving them for. LOL

I've almost finished with our garage. I've gotten rid of a few things, have a few things I'm going to sell (baby stuff mostly) and organized the toy box of smaller outside toys for the girls. We have some long term projects for the garage to rewire and and add a few electrical outlets and to redo the cabinet area at the front of the garage. We also need to level out the floor.
I really need to organize the clothes in my closet again and then once I do that I can organize the clothes in my dresser. That's going to be a night shift project so I can spread everything out when Hubby's not home and when the girls aren't awake.
Magazines, I tear out what I want, let Annabelle cut out things for an ongoing collage project, then recycle the leftovers.
My kitchen countertops always need to be cleaned off and organized. One day I'm just going to dump all of Hubby's random stuff in a box and tell him put it anywhere other than the counter.

Immediately:
Paint the Living Room. Steam clean all the carpets (just bought a steam cleaner - cheaper than renting one constantly.) Buy a new vacuum. Buy a new water purifier (old one leaks).
Eventually:
Paint all the rooms. Rip up all the carpets and tile all the rooms. Finish the backyard landscaping.

We've painted every room in our house except my room and the family room. The family room is part paneling and part white walls. Not sure I even want to deal with it. I was so tired of white walls after living in apartments for so long.

That's exactly it, fluffysmom. We haven't painted anything at all. The house was brand new when we bought it and all the walls are still white.

Painting my kitchen and living room are on my list too. My entire house is ugly paneling.

Our family room was originally a garage. So I'm guessing the paneling was an easy way to deal with garage walls.

I'm not sure I'll be able to think of everything but a few of my ongoing projects are: -Cleaning out the closets and getting rid of EVERYTHING that I'm not wearing. I usually get one or two bags sorted per week to go to Goodwill or somewhere. -Getting rid of all those piles of mail and paperwork that are all over my house. -I'm always just trying to work to get any and everything in my house more organized. -Turning my guest room back into a guest room instead of the "overflow room"

I'm trying to work on small things like going through the newspaper and mail daily to help avoid the piles.
This school year I have a folder for both girls in my kitchen. I am putting newsletters and school papers in them. That way if I need to refer back to something I know where to find it.
I need to clean off the desk where our desktop computer sits. The desktop is not working so that desk is piling up with random papers and miscellaneous stuff.

The project that is hanging over my head right now is turning Dream Boat into an epub. It's an arduous process (at least for me) and I can think of a million things I'd rather do that make it easy to procrastinate. I have a self-imposed deadline of getting it done by year-end which is quickly approaching.

Glad you are making progress MrsM. I plan to finish the kids clothes switching out today or tomorrow at the latest. It's cold now and they need warmer clothes. I haven't been home enough the last few weeks to get extra projects done.

I think I've talked my hubby out of replacing the shower surround. I fear what mess we would end up with.

We have to completely gut our bathroom, floor and all. Hubby discovered that the floor is rotting out underneath the tub so we are going to have to figure out a way to get the tub out and get a new one in. We have really narrow doorways so getting a new tub in may be a nightmare.
