Brady looked at his watch.
BRADY: Well, it's getting late. We have another day of hiking tomorrow.
MELANIE: Hang on a sec, Brady. Everyone else got to tell an urban legend. Well, I've got one, too.
BRADY: Okay. One more story. And then, we should all get ready for bed.
MELANIE: Okay. So, there's this internet forum. And, on this forum, they talk about this TV show. They watch it, discuss it, speculate on what will happen. There's even a group of people who write fan-fiction stories about what they wish would happen on screen. The thing is, the show's called Days of Our Lives. And, all of the people on the show are involved in storylines very similar to our daily lives. Paternity switched, faked deaths, amnesia, everything.
PHILIP: That's crazy! It can't be true!
WILL: Well, Grandma Marlena does watch soap operas. But, I've never heard of one called Days of Our Lives.
MELANIE: Actually, it's true. There is a show called Days of Our Lives and there are forums about it. One is called MyHourglass, or something like that.
REX: Whoa.
BRADY: But, you know, if you were to tell anyone involved in the making of the show that their show mirrors our lives, do you know what they'd do?
SHAWN-D: Laugh?
BRADY: Yeah. They probably would. Good legend, Mel.
MELANIE: Thanks.
BRADY: Come on, guys. Let's go to bed.
