Yay!! A 3 day weekend but we must all pause for a moment of silence for all our lost soldiers who bravely helped to defend our country!
Now, anybody have plans??? Anything at all to post about this holiday?

*moment of silence*
Sadly, I have no plans. Hubby has to work Saturday and Monday, so we aren't going anywhere. We might go buy a new car, but there are a lot of if's involved in that deal. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will work out and I can get a new car! Nothing's wrong with my current car, btw, I just really want a new one.

Everybody in the pool!
Looking forward to a 3-day weekend and hoping not to bring work home.
Thanks for starting this thread, SG.

I am actually going to try & get in the pool, but 2 weeks ago it was a might chilly!
Hubby I am sure will be BBQ-ing, but as is every other holiday, it's just me, him & the dog!
It will be nice to have that extra day though. Usually my normal weekends are so busy I never have much time to relax, Now I can!!
@dd, good luck car shopping! I am hoping to go recliner shopping here.

My sincere gratitude goes out to all the men and women who have fought, are fighting, and will continue to fight for our freedom! May God bless them! As far as the weekend goes....only one thing planned: Sunday - SURPRISE 40th birthday party for my husband!!! He has no clue about it. His birthday was actually last Sunday and we did the normal family dinner thing so he thinks that was it! Ha! It worked out perfectly though with the holiday weekend. He just thinks we're going to his parent's house for a casual get-together bbq but it's actually a party for him!

Thank you to all the brave men and women out there!! Especially my older brothers who both served in the Marines!!
Have fun at the surprise party Sparky! Grilling and pools sound excellent!!
We are camping for the first time in our new (used) pop-up. We are leaving tomorrow after Katie's preschool graduation and then coming home on Monday. I am hoping it is warm enough for us to be able to use the pool at the campground but I am not going to hold my breath. High of 55 today and I think the warmest I saw for this weekend was low 70's so we will see, but I am still excited nonetheless!!!

High of 55?!?! And you expect to go swimming?!?! Holy cow, that's sweater-weather here!! We have a possibility of rain, but it's going to be in the high 80s here. Hopefully it will only rain at night, so we can enjoy the pool!

It is supposed to get into the 70's this weekend and the pool is supposedly heated so it shouldn't be too bad if the weather cooperates.

Another grateful poster here for all the brave men and women, and to all the lives that were lost for our country... We're taking the kids to Six Flags this weekend. Three hour road trip with two little ones. Good times. But, I'll be doing my best to boost the economy and blow off steam this weekend (after the move, I think we all need a little stress free fun).

Jonathon is off work, but he's got a lot of work to do on his tractors so we won't be doing anything major this weekend. We will be going to my mom's house Sunday for her twice-a-year cookout (she does one for Memorial Day and one for Labor Day) with a lot of family and friend of the family there. It will be the first time many of them will get to see Ava. And Jonathon informed me today to get brisket or ribs so he can test out the smoker he built a few months ago. So he apparently has plans to cook on Monday (Yay! A night off for me!).
