This guy was unbelievably creative. You have to watch it. The anticipation must have been agonizing for the fiance-to-be.

This was great!! I saw it on Yahoo's main page the other day. I couldn't even imagine my husband doing something like this. How lucky is this girl to have such an amazing proposal?!

Makes me wish my hubby had been creative and done something romantic. He told me he was going to propose and it was very un-romantic. He couldn't even wait until it was my birthday. But I love him anyways and that was 11 years ago, so obviously it worked.

Mine was very unromantic too which is why I think I find it so much more sweet when I see things like that LOL

By the time my hubby got around to proposing, I was REALLY READY for it. He'd talked to my dad MONTHS before, and I had already bought my wedding dress. In all honesty, the proposal was just a formality, as I had already informed him that we WERE going to get married. I had already decided. Finally he did propose (when we were on a cruise with friends) and it was nice. I didn't cry, but I was really happy with my ring, and that I could finally appease my parents. They were p***ed that we had been living together for the previous 6 months. It took me exactly 5 months and 5 days after the proposal to get married. I was READY!! And now we've been married 9 years this summer.

Husband had given me a ring for my birthday in August. A promise ring. He went skiing one weekend in January and came home and ran down the stairs and said he wants to change it to an engagement ring because we need to get married. He didn't like being away from me that long. MY parents were coming a few months later so we decided we would get married by a Justice of the Peace but his mom had a fit and p[aid for us to have a wedding because all we wanted was a honeymoon. LOL The proposal was boring but man the wedding was the most fun EVER!

We were engaged for a year and a half before we got married. We were babies when we got married. It will be 9 years married this summer for us too DD! We have been together since I was 14, got engaged when I was 18 and married at 20. We were living together before we got married and my aunt thought the reason we were getting married was because I was knocked up. Boy was she surprised when I didn't have a baby until almost 4 years later!!

LOL. I asked my mom a few years ago if people though I was pregnant and that was why it was such a short engagement. She said no, but I'm not all that convinced. I did have an aunt ask me if my Russian hubby needed a green card (he did not). But since we've been married 9 years with no kids, I don't think people are wondering it anymore.

My husband and I had been long-distance dating for a year before I moved from NY to FL and moved in with him. Being an old fashioned girl, I wanted to make it legal. Ron said I should let him do it his way and choose the time and place. We talked about it a lot though. Then one day, it was his parents 50th anniversary party, and we went for a walk outside and he proposed. I said "for real"? LOL. When I told my mother, she said "I thought you were already engaged." Not exactly how I pictured breaking the news to my mother.
At the wedding, Ron and I recited vows to each other. Ron wrote a poem. And when it came time for me to recite my vows to Ron, my mother yelled "Louder!" Gotta love Mom.
