Thanks Mrs. M!
Well, I'm feeling ok. I had a little scare last weekend. I started cramping a little and had some brown spotting. So we made a trip to the ER in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Everything checked out fine but needless to say we were pretty scared something bad was happening.
I went to my regular doctor on Monday. She did an internal exam and said everything looked fine. But she did tell me that it showed up on ultrasound that my placenta is low in the uterus. It's not covering the cervix but it's close to it which could be causing some of the spotting. And the cramping is likely just the uterus starting to expand and things are moving around in there. I've been trying to relax and put my feet up as much as possible. I go back into the doctor next Friday so hopefully everything is ok.
Thanks for checking in on me. Anyone else have similar issues when they were pregnant?

Spotting is pretty common for some women. I never did but my best friend did with hers. As long as the doctors are aware and they say it is fine, everything is ok. Sounds like they are monitoring you pretty close and keeping a keen eye on things, so I would just try to relax as much as possible!!

I had a monthly period until I was 5 months pregnant! It used to scare me so much.
I believe what the doctor mentioned to you might be called placenta previa. My sister had that during two of her pregnancies.

I had a monthly period until I was 5 months pregnant! It used to scare me so much. If you still had a regular flow, how did you even know you were pregnant? I keep hoping that same thing will happen to me, but so far it hasn't.

Maybe tmi for some people but here goes:
DD: My ummm chest area like quadrupled in size and hurt so badly. plus I kept making husband go to store at like midnight foe nachos. He has been through pregnant twice with the boys mom so kept telling me I was showing all the classic symptoms so I took a test. All the bleeding was really really scary.

Eh, TMI, Shme-M-I. We're all about the overshare here! But thanks for the info. That's something I'll keep an eye out for.

Thanks for sharing GG! Now that would be scary to actually have a period for 5 months! Yikes! I've just had some brown spotting. But it's still unnerving.
The doctor said it's not officially placenta previa just that the placenta is situated kinda low and is very close to the cervix, possibly touching it which could be causing the spotting. She said as the pregnancy progresses it should move up in the uterus.
The other problem I have is a tilted uterus. It's tilted toward the back so I've been experiencing some lower back pain lately.
I just wanted a problem-free pregnancy. Sigh. I guess all I can ask for is that the problems remain manageable and I deliver a healthy baby.

Exactly. Everything you go through just makes you appreciate it that much more. Plus then you have ammunition when they are older and being a brat

I think she was going to be away on business this week. Both of our summary writers away at the same time.
