Just wanted to let my friends at My Hourglass know that.... I'M PREGNANT!!!! I'm about 12-1/2 weeks right now...due right around Thanksgiving on November 27th. Happy turkey day to me! Hehehe! I feel pretty good and have been one of those "lucky ones" with hardly any symptoms....which to be honest is sometimes actually disheartening because you start worrying something's wrong or "am I really still pregnant?" But I had my 12 week appt the other day and everything is right on target. We got some sonogram pictures of the baby...he/she still looks a little alien-ish but is still cute! LOL. This will be my first baby but is actually my third pregnancy. Some of you may or may not know that I have suffered with infertility the past 4-1/2 years and have had trouble getting (and staying) pregnant. My husband and I have been through a lot of heartache over this but we're truly hopeful this is the one that breaks that horrible chain. We've only told close family and friends so far because of what we've gone through in the past, and even then we waited until I was about 8-9 weeks along and had seen the baby's heartbeat on ultrasound to be sure. I'm starting to feel better everyday that this is for real this time and won't be taken away. Now that I'm getting ready to enter my 2nd trimester I feel like I can relax a little bit and actually start to enjoy my pregnancy.  Just thought I'd fill everyone in on the good news. I know that prayer is a powerful thing so I figure having a few more people out there praying for me can't hurt.  |

Omg sparky! I am so so happy for you! I got tears as soon as I read the first line because you had mentioned to me previously of your troubles.
All the best with your pregnancy! If you haven't already you should pick up the book what to expect when your expecting! It turned out to be my pregnancy bible! It was wonderful!
Glad to hear things are going well so far and I wish you all the best! Muah!

Thanks GG! Yes, I've had that book since the first time I got pregnant 3 years ago....needless to say it's finally getting put to good use.  It's been an up and down roller coaster. I'm just hoping everything goes smoothly. Having to wait all this time for this to finally happen, the least I deserve is an event-free pregnancy. ;D Here's hoping....so far so good! |
