I missed it too. I need to check on-demand. Most new shows seem to end up there luckily.

Maybe they will rerun it on Saturday or Sunday. Seems like the networks do that a lot.

Anyone catch the show yet? I DVR'ed it and it offers a few twists along the way. People aren't quite what they seem and motives haven't been revealed yet either.
A bit of a warning though, without trying to spoil too much hopefully. There was a bit of blood/gore in it that I wasn't expecting. Nothing too bad and I don't think the rest of the show will be like that. Once the dome hit, I was like "What's up with that one cow standing there? Oh. Oh. OH. Ew." It reminded me of the movie Ghost Ship at that moment.

A new show on CBS, based on a story by Stephen King. An entire town gets trapped under an invisible dome that mysteriously appears one day and all communication is cut off from the outside world. They can see people on the other side, but can't hear them.

Me & the ex sat down to watch it one night not long after it came out on DVD but I had to go to the kitchen for something. All of a sudden I hear him yell "That was cool!!! Brandi get in here, you have to see this!" I walked in there and he rewound it. I was dumbstruck while watching it but when the grandfather fell in front of his granddaughter, I looked and him and told him he wasn't right. That wasn't cool. He said that he was talking about the ones before - he didn't mean the part with the little girl. That that part bothered him too. There's also a similar scene in Thirteen Ghosts if you watch the original version that was shown in theaters - not the adapted version.

I never heard of Ghost Ship either. But anyway was this a book? I'd much rather read than take on another TV show.

I'm not sure if it was ever a book or not. My dad was the one that originally told us about this movie. I love "scary" movies but very rarely am I scared by them. I either end up laughing through them or disgusted by how gorey some think they need to be. Sometimes excessive use of the "F" word will turn me off of a movie before I'm even halfway through. But that's any movie tho. Not one particular genre.

Mae, my sis-in-law had given us a spoiler-free warning about that moment in Ghost Ship so we were somewhat prepared for it. Slyn, the book Under the Dome is relatively new (2009), but it comes from ideas he's had and attempted to write in the 1980s. He's one of the exec producers of the show, so the show will probably be fairly similar to the book.

I saw a partial interview and then a letter from him to his fans b/c they were upset at the differences that they had noticed right off the bat. He said that there were some necessity changes that were made. The general plot remained the same but some character development/adaptation had to be made to make the series work for TV. He said that while he understood people's feelings regarding the changes he also hoped that they would hang tight and understand that the changes were made for the better - that they would see that down the road.
