According to soap journalist Nelson Branco he interviewed Chandler Massey and Camila Banus at the Emmy's and both said they were leaving Days when their contracts expires in December.

I am not surprised at all. They are at the age. Days would be wise to recast Will though. I think Chandler is one of the strongest actors they have - though not my favorite because his emotions never reach his eyes to me - but it would be a loss for the show. Most of the younger actors leave after their contract expires. That doesn't surprise me at all.

Chandler is a big loss for the show. After 17 recasts they finally got it right. I hope to see his star rise. He is off to a great start.

I will be sad to see Chandler go but again, you can't blame him. He's just won his second Emmy. Strike while the iron is hot. Nothing personal towards Camilla but I wouldn't consider losing the character of Gabi as a big deal. Will on the other hand, has had some very big storylines lately. I like Chandler but I guess I wouldn't mind a recast if it meant keeping the character.
It's kind of funny to me that Days just said they are going younger and now all these young actors are leaving.
On a positive note, if their contracts end in December then they could be on air until next March or April.

I'm thinking "Will" is too big a character to simply disappear and he'll be recast. Even so, if Chandler is leaving in December, "Will" will be onscreen well into 2014.

Wow, I'm kind of sad to see Chandler go but IA strike while the iron's hot theory is a good idea. He is very talented. I wish him the best of luck!!!! As far as Camila Banus is concerned well I never really cared for the character [she never grew on me] so meh. I'm kind of indifferent. I don't care if she stays or goes. TFP though!

I think I read last year where Chandler said when his contratc was up, he was leaving Days. Days is losing 3 major characters for the younger crowd.....Chandler, Casey, and Camilla.....I wonder what Chandler and Camilla have in the works?
