Thanks for asking! I havent received an offer yet but my references I used informed me that she called them both today! I expect to hear from her soon!

Lol thanks so much guys. I had two other interviews booked for today and had to reschedule or later this week, as I have super cold today and yesterday. If I'm lucky I'll get this job and won't have to go to them!

LOL Yeah, you better make sure the wind doesn't change! That's what my mom always said.
I still haven't heard from the with an offer or anything. It is kind of making me nervous. I would have thought I would have heard from her as one of my references gave me an outstanding reference, so I know it was good. We have remained close in the 4 years since I worked with her. Then again, these things probably take time. She has to go to her boss, etc...

Hey everyone. I finally got a call back today. She wanted to inform me that they gave the position to someone else. She also wanted to tell me that she went to bat for me and it took her so long to call me back as she even went so far as to try and create a position for me as she wanted to hire me, but in the end they went with someone who had a little more experience. She said if anything comes up (they have 10 different locations here in Edmonton) in any of the locations for my position she will be calling me immediately.
I was saddened to hear about this, however, she had nothing but positive things to say and she was sad they weren't offering me the position as she thought I would be a better fit then the person they offered the job to.
Thank you all for your good luck wishes. I now have to get back to my job hunt!

That was really nice of her to let you know. Usually they don't let you know if you didn't get it. It sounds like there might be other opportunities there and you obviously made a great impression. These things usually happen for a reason and the reason is usually that there are better things in store for you. You did good, GG!

 Well, that blows. It is nice that she called to let you know that they'd offered it to someone else, and it's hard to argue with more experience. But perhaps, since she liked you so much, something better is coming shortly. I hope that's the case. Keep us posted. |
