So it's not pool or beach weather here today, but a girl can dream, right?
I bought a one piece bathing suit recently. I tried on a couple tankinis and they didn't look as good on me as I expected. So what is everyone else sporting this summer? And why?

I bought a monokini last year and I love it. Looks like a bikini from the back and a one piece in the front. It is practical with the kids so I don't have to worry about them pulling things out of place. Lol. When it is just Bill and I, I will wear a bikini. I do think I am gonna find a nice tankini for this summer as well. I hope to be able to do a lot of swimming this year.

Given my issues with weight, I absolutely hate summer and anything having to do with bathing suits. I have however found that tankini's and athletic shorts are my best friends for pool side & beach lounging (what little I go to the beach anyway . I haven't bought the bottoms to a bathing suit 2 piece in several years.

I have an old 1 piece that actually fits... works for this overweight lady. When I was thinner back in the day I loved my tankini.

I need to try on my suits to see what works. I either wear a tankini or a one piece.

I just realized I should have put this thread in the personal interests section, so I moved it here.
Do most people have more than one swimsuit?

I did have more than 1 until 2 days ago. I had to throw one of my tankini's away b/c it was a wire support top and one of the wires had disappeared. I realized it out on the lake a couple of weeks ago. I knew things looked a little funny but couldn't quite place it. Thank goodness it was only family and no one really noticed it Time for me to get another one and I really really REALLY dread that.

I have the monokini, a couple bikinis, and one tankini that does not support the girls like it should. It was one I bought when I was pregnant with Liam and it isn't maternity but it is still a little big on me. I hate swimsuit shopping as nothing ever fits my boobs.

I have a bikini and a tankini. We're not really water people and most of the time it's just me and the girls in the inflatable kiddie pool here at the house. We do have a little resort town north of us that has a great place to swim that we usually go to once or twice in the summer.

One to wear while the other one is drying. But this year just one. I didn't mind trying on swimsuits so much this year because my weight is down.

The bathing suits that have real support cost a fortune. I found some online but I'm hesitant to order a bathing suit that way.

Yup. They do. It is painful and expensive to buy a good swimsuit.

I will probably always dread bathing suit season now. My weight is down from last year, but not near enough for me to feel comfortable enough to like how I look. I don't know that I will ever get to that point again. Kpatch - hahaha! That does sound like a I Love Lucy episode! Thank goodness there was a little bit additional support built in other than the wire so it wasn't too bad fluffysmom - I'm hesitant about that too. I'm so in between sizes that it's hard to find something that fits right and I absolutely HATE having to send something back.

My mom said that TJ Maxx has a good selection of suits in a variety of sizes. She said the prices were good too.
