I just watched Tuesday's epi and did Melanie and Abby remind anyone else of two little girls in the schoolyard? I was waiting for Abby to start yanking Melanie's hair. Yikes! When Melanie said that three of the four of them were adults, I was using all my fingers and toes to try and figure out which three were adults.
I was thrilled that Abby mentioned Lucas and I hated Melanie for dissing aforementioned Lucas. And that apology was pathetic. I never did hear either one apologize to Jennifer or Daniel.
Loved the "up" shot of Jennifer and Daniel looking down at their daughters as though they were so much larger, physically, than their children. Nice direction.
I was embarrassed for these "girls" who keep making themselves less and less rootable.

They were pretty pathetic. I hate that Melanie has on blinders when it come to her father. At least Abigail has some sense as to what her parents are like as people and not an idealized fantasy of what they should be. I thought Abigail was a little more rootable in that argument because at least she used facts to back up her argument and not just name calling.

I agree. While I didn't mind Melanie and Daniel chatting alone and Jennifer and Abigail alone too, but Abigail is starting to drive me nuts! Nuts I tell ya!
I wish she would have apologized to Daniel too. She totally jumped the gun on that one. He may be Dr. McSleezy but I agree when Melanie says he would never, ever force himself on a woman. He has more class then that. Abigail was totally out of line and I do not blame Melanie for getting angry and lashing out at Abigail however it was a VERY childish fight and I could have went without it!

These scenes drove me nuts. They were both so childish, I thought I was watching two 5 yr olds arguing over a toy. I about hit the roof when Melanie made that comment about 3 out of 4 adults! The thing about Abigail that irritated me was that she immediately jumped to conclusions about what happened with her mother and Daniel and that was just stupid. But her comment about Lucas was spot on. And for Melanie to call Lucas a horse's ass and offer up her own distorted daddy-centric view of what happened with that whole thing just proves how ignorant she is about that. Oh, to have Maggie overhear darling Melanie saying these things about his nephew! Melanie holds her father to such a high regard and the sooner he falls off that pedestal she's put him on the better.

It'd explain a lot of she had PMDD www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0004461/My friend turns into a raging lunatic when it's her time of the month. Much worse than PMS, and she needs to control it with meds, LOL In any case, for me, it's good to see someone stand up to Mel and hold their own against her. They're both a little bratty/spoiled, but I prefer Abby. She holds her own, but actually listens and backs down when she's wrong. Mel only listens to daddy.

One of the things that bugged me most is that they were each speaking for their respective parent as if they were on the date (or any date) with them. How does Melanie know that Daniel wouldn't force himself on a woman? She doesn't. How does Abby know that Jennifer didn't put the moves on Daniel? She doesn't. They both assumed a lot and jumped to some ridiculous conclusions that were manufactured for the sake of drama. But instead of drama, it came across as girls gone stupid.

True. I will admit, it wasn't the best written filler material. But, it did bring up some issues that a lot of viewers think...has Jennifer talked to Lucas (her half sibling)? Daniel's reputation as an instant in the sack kind of guy, etc.
Plus, shows that Mel knows all about Jack.

I totally agree with you. Personally, even though Daniel has done some questionable things in the past, I don't believe that he would force himself on a woman. So I tend to agree with Melanie on that point. He never has forced himself on Chloe so why on earth would he suddenly decide to force himself on Jennifer? I firmly believe that he would NOT. As for Abby, I just think that she overreacted to the situation and said some things she should not have, so did Melanie. As far as Melanie goes, she is fiercely loyal to the people she loves and that is the only reason why she defended him.

This was one of the few scenes I've seen for awhile and what a let down for me.....Melanie has just gotten intolerable for me and Abigail is not much better.....they both were stomp idiots....I may not have all the info since I didn't see the previous scenes, but if you were told your mother was taken ill or taken to the hospital or whatever while she was on a date, would you automatically jump to the conclusion that she had been molested by her date... How strange....really strange....did I miss something?

Well, I don't know. I still remember Daniel as Dr. Feelers and doing an inappropriate groping when she was a patient.
But, yeah, I don't think he'd force himself on Jenn.
I don't think she meant force himself as in rape, but as in comes on very strong. She knows her mom is vulnerable and needs a little time to ease into a relationship, and not be pressured into more than what she wants. Daniel doesn't have the "let's wait and date" reputation.
