New Theme - Melaswen Island (Read 2,452 times)

I have a great new theme for you that has extra features that our other themes don't have. It has a tropical look, and you can access it by editing your profile settings and choosing Melaswen Island from the theme drop-down menu.

Here's a peek at what it looks like:

I especially love it at home. My monitor here is a widescreen so I truly feel like I need a drink. I only see a few trees at work as it is not a widescreen..

I love the new theme but the different smileys get me confused at times. I try to wink and get this .  This one looks more like the roll eyes.

I type O M G! all together and get this OMG!

sad face
 etc.

Just curious as to why these smileys are different than previous ones....  does this theme have a different smiley plug-in than the others?

Not sure. I really like the pink and blue smilies.

Actually mae00, those smilies you mentioned are showing up the way you described for me. I'm not using the Melaswen theme. Change your theme just so you can see your post here, to see what I mean, then go back to whichever theme you want.

Here’s the deal. I created all the themes myself EXCEPT “Love In the Afternoon” and “Melaswen Island.” Those, I merely named.

Those two themes were premade by coders at Proboards. They made it available to anyone who wanted it, and I liked them so I installed them here. Bottom line is, I don’t have the ability to change much about them. As they say, it is what it is.

Hope that explains it.


Edited to add: I looked at it using the Melaswen theme. That's pretty funny. Might be a coding error. I'll send a message to the creator of that theme. Maybe he can do a patch or update or whatever the heck it's called.

Thanks for the info kpatch! It makes perfect sense. At first, I thought I was going crazy and typing the incorrect smiley codes. I do like the blue & pink smileys but just found it odd that the smiley code I was typing was something different here. Sometimes my simple brain gets easily confused

Hey there, i will have this fixed in the push update i'm doing. I will also have tweaked some things.

Just to note, i do not have a wink smile.. Sadly, I know, sad, though, i'm trying to replicate it, but the smile maker does not have a winked eye.. I shall see what i can do. 


Any other ideas, you would want to add?
