I don't need to be rude, but in the outstanding drama catagory, isn't that all of the soaps that are left on tv....??

And I don't know if there is such a catagory, but Days should win outstanding dialogue writing......

Days was not nominated for writing. I can understand why looking at the nominees. Days has some zingers but others shows have more "meat". Complex storytelling and rich characters combined with snappy and poignant dialogue is probably what the Emmy committee is looking for.

The supporting actress category is stiff competition...I think on Days Arianne is lead, not supporting. Peggy McKay...I am still so pissed...should have been in this category instead.

Who chooses what category...the lead or supporting? It seems like sometimes Ari is lead and times like now she is more of a supporting character. Obviously younger is determined by the actors' ages.

The writing was all over the place so it's no wonder Days wasn't nominated for that category.

Well used to be the actor chooses which category they want to submit to, but now with the prenom process I'm pretty sure the show decides.

Putting Peggy McKay as lead is just wrong, and clearly just out of respect for her long career. That woman is more like a glorified extra, than even a supporting player at this point.

I am so happy that Peggy McCay got nominated her scenes during the Alzheimer's storyline were fantastic. She should be in supporting instead of lead, but her scenes were amazingly powerful.

I agree. Peggy did a great job with the alzheimer storyline but it was a couple months. She didn't carry the show for the whole year. Should have been supporting for sure. And Arianne is definitely a leading lady. That is so screwed up.

Does Caroline even still have Alzheimer's? Or was she "cured" or something? Seems like this whole "Emmy nominated" storyline has been dropped.

And I totally agree about Ari's nom. SHE should be the Leading Actress and Peggy should be supporting.

She has mentioned her Alzheimer's support group a few times in the past few weeks. Most of her recent scenes have been at the strip club.

Two thoughts:

(A) Out of context, that's a VERY strange statement.

(B) That's where I'd like to have all of my scenes.
