I watched Black Swan today. Very intense. It's a ballerina's quest for the lead role as she descends into madness. Hubby would hate it except for the very steamy scene with Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman. He wants to watch that part. I checked the movie out from the library.

I also mainly watch TV shows... I have watched MI5 (British TV and very good). Watched the entire first 2 seasons of Drop Dead Diva and also watched some of The Walking Dead. My only complaint with the TV shows on Netflix is they don't add the new seasons as quickly as I would like! We don't have cable so that is the only way I get to watch TV.

I watched the movie You Again. It stars Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and Betty White. It was a fun comedy with some heartfelt moments woven in.

How does Netflix work? I'm looking at possibly getting Netflix once I can change the programming on the satellite service. I'm going to be dropping all of the movie channels and a few others.

You pay a monthly fee...depending on whether you want dvds mailed to your house (and how many at a time), if you want a combo of dvd and online streaming content, or just online content only. We just get online streaming now because I mostly watch TV shows on it.
If you like a lot of movies, I would check and see which ones are available online vs dvd only to decide which subscription you need.
I also highly recommend Amazon Prime. I have it in conjunction with Netflix...you can pay one price for the year and get free 2day shipping, or 3.99 next day - plus all their prime only media content (similar to the netflix service) and rental of kindle books (love this). And now they have added an option to pay monthly, just for access to their media content (No free shipping)

I watched the first episode of Hemlock Grove. I got kind of lost. It has these visions and otherwordly gypsy things going on...and lots of little mysteries yet to be revealed. It is sort of complicated...which I love in a story.

I was only half paying attention. I have the attention span of a gnat. I play on the computer while watching tv.

But certain shows I will stop everything and focus on - Vampire Diaries and Hemlock Grove is like that too...you sort of have to watch closely or you'll miss things.

I need to take up knitting or something while watching tv so I can pay better attention. Hubby gets so mad at me when I ask him what is going on. Lol.

I actually watch TV almost only when I'm crafting (or eating). Any other time I don't turn it on. I can't just sit and watch TV, makes me feel like I am wasting time.

A lot of the time I have it on more for background noise, and most of the times the kids monopolize the tv. I did start watching Once Upon a Time on Netflix though. I watched it while I was putting away laundry.

Okay, I have a new Netflix obsession. I hope you don't think less of me, b/c it's kind of raunchy but I am loving Louie. I guess it comes on F/X but I had never watched it before. I'm almost through the the entire two seasons that are on Netflix and I can't wait for them to put the next season on. I just read that the fourth season won't be on F/X until next year!
Anyway, as I said, it's pretty dirty sometimes but he cracks me up and then he has these sweet funny moments with his kids. If you aren't easily offended and there are no little kiddies in the room, totally recommend it.
