Ok, I need some help. I need some suggestions of movies to watch on Netflix. Most of them are movies I have never heard of and I tend to ignore them and just watch the tv series. I like to be able to watch a movie every now and again that is good and entertaining. So I thought we could have a thread with suggestions for good movies. I am watching Killer Elite right now. I will let you guys know if it is any good.

I guess it depends on what you'd like to see. Fluffy romance? See if they have "The Decoy Bride." It stars Kelly MacDonald (the voice from "Brave" - also awesome) and she's just cute as all get out. It makes me smile when I watch it, but it certainly won't change the world or win any awards. A thinker? "Silver Linings Playbook" was a-ma-zing and Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were super hot. Just want to smile? "The Artist" (the silent movie from last year) was really fun and lovely. Of course, Netflix also has TV shows too. Might I suggest "Doctor Who"?

Is Silver Linings Playbook on Netflix streaming?
I have Dr. Who on my streaming list. I am mostly looking for things to watch with hubby on a Friday night. I have lots of shows in my queue to watch, Lol.

What kind of movies do you like? I just got Netflix so I haven't watch many movies yet. I've also been watching Dr. Who. Last weekend I watched Everything Must Go with Will Ferrell. I liked it. It was't a typical Will Ferrell movie, much more serious but it was kind of sweet and still a little funny. I saw Silver Linings Playbook at the movies, if it's on Netflix I agree with ther person who recommended that. I want to watch Blue Valentine soon. I saw it on the list and I remember reading it was really good, although I think it's supposed to be sad.

The Killing is a good TV show...they have the first two seasons on Netflix.
I love BBC mysteries and they have so many of those. Love Midsommers Murders and Wire in the Blood. Being Human I think is on there (if not it is on Amazon Prime)
I tend to like darker stuff so I don't have "fun" suggestions. I watch ID channel shows on Netflix (Like - Disappeared and Behind Mansion Walls) and all the teen dramas when I don't want to pull out my DVDs - Instant Star is good - musical like Glee but not campy and the girl has amazing talent.
Oh you said WE...if you are watching with hubby...I think something like The Killing. My husband and I rarely watch TV together. We try to pick one show that we both can get into and watch together. Some of those BBC shows are good like that...but your hubby would probably hate anything teen so scratch those recs. LOL

I just watched Charlie St Cloud and New Years Eve. I got them both at the library. I doubt my hubby would like either one.
New Years Eve stars an ensemble cast. It's a variety of stories that are taking place on NYE in NYC. Several of them end up intersecting. Some stories are touching and others are funny. I enjoyed the movie.
Charlie St Cloud stars Zac Efron. He plays a college age boy who suffers a life changing loss. The movie is about the aftermath and if, when and how to move on. It was a touching movie.
