Time for a reality check. Now that Tamara has been in the role for ... um ... a week, what do you all think?
Personally, I still hate her. She has no personality, no zest. I get that Tamara is probably trying to ease into the role and pick up where Natalia left off, but she’s way too low-key. She's like she’s a human Sominex.
I didn’t like Natalia’s acting style, but she had inherent warmth, where Tamara has a cool indifference about her. I really wanted to warm up to the character but I’m not. I know I know it’s still early and I could change.
What's your opinion?

I don't know. I can't stand Taylor, but maybe that stupid purple shirt is putting me off.

I am neutral towards her, however, I am with MrsM in the fact that I CANNOT stand that dang shirt she is wearing .I wish EJ would just rip it off of her already. At least then we would be rid of it by now. LOL

I just couldn't stand her as Ava, but maybe it was the role and now I still don't like her but again it could be the role... or the shirt??

Same here, SG. I hated her as Ava and it's really hard seeing her as someone else. It's not that I can't accept an actor playing different roles. I accepted Judy Evans as both Adrienne and Bonnie Lockhart. Same with Josh Taylor as Chris Kositchek and Roman. But it feels like Tamara is purposely underacting. Purple shirt notwithstanding.

I'm still waiting. Since it's only been 1 Salem day, I'm waiting for the story to move forward so more of her personality can come out. After May, if I'm still waiting, I'll give up on her. The coutdown is on!

I liked Tamara as Ava but I don't think Taylor is the right role for her. Maybe Taylor just isn't a good role for any actress though, the character was forgettable the first time around and has been nothing but annoying this time. Because I think Taylor is such a useless character no matter who portrays her, I voted "don't care".

I agree with Kazz. Maybe it's just a lousy role no matter who is playing Taylor. I hope that things improve soon since Taylor is on air so often.

I agree with Kazz. Maybe it's just the character in general that's the problem. However, I do think a major issue for me (and many others, I'm sure) is the storyline that Taylor was thrust into upon arriving in Salem. It was just preposterous. The whole meeting on the pier with EJ and instant love. It's absurd. If they wanted to use Taylor as the third leg of the triangle with Nicole and EJ they would have been better off doing so gradually. It would have been more believable and they may have actually built up some fan base wars to see who was the rooting couple. The way it's been written now, there is no rooting couple. People want Nicole away from EJ because he's a lying pig and I don't think anyone is actually taking the thing between EJ and Taylor as true love. It's just ridiculous.
As far as Taylor goes, I think Tamara has shown more range acting-wise in the role so far but she still seems awkward to me. I'm kinda hoping the execs realize the mistake they made with this character and axe it all together sooner rather than later.

I don't like this Taylor at all. She is BORING as hell and she reminds me of a rodent. Sorry. This actress could as some spice to her lines and her wardrobe. I don't see what Days has gained by using Tamara.

Didn't like Taylor and still don't. The only lines that the character has is "I dont' want to hurt my sister. We can't do this. I love you but can't be with you. This is wrong." Talk about beating a dead horse.....

I like this actress better in the role, but I don't like the character. It's the writing. I get they're trying to say how wonderful and good she is, but what she's doing to her sister, is just not right. Her actions don't match the dialog.
Anyway, overall, I think this actress is a better fit as she looks better with EJ, but again, I'm not liking the character much.
