This was one of the best episodes I've seen in a long while. <Checks calendar.> Oh! It's May! Sweeps month. I get it now. Nevermind.
Kudos to the actors. The scene with Sami and Rafe2 was fantastic (even if the plot is ridiculous). I love it when history is brought up, and they mentioned Sami being scarred for life after seeing Marlena cheat on Sami's father with John. Rafe2 mentioned the "fact" that Sami's twins have different fathers who didn't use protection. Oh, and protection was mentioned twice. That should be a thread all by itself.
Both Rafes were terrific today.
And Nicole. Can't say enough about Nicole. Her words were measured and brilliant. I didn't know what she was going to say (and let's be honest, the dialogue is sometimes way too predictable) and she surprised me on a number of occasions. Her delivery was perfect. Go Nicole!
What am I leaving out? What did you think of Tuesday's show?

I thought it was fantastic! Of course since its May, things are supposed to be great. But they sure are delivering! Woo-hoo!

It WAS pretty great! I was engaged the entire episode. I saw lots of the "real" Sami today in those scenes with Rafe2 -- referencing how her mom & John influenced her views on fidelity, getting a little mean and nasty with Rafe2 when she felt hurt by him.
As stupid as EJ is being, I thought James Scott also did a great job in that scene where Stefano basically laughed at how stupid his plan is, at how Nicole isn't just going to go back to Brady and let EJ be with Taylor. EJ looked like he was on the verge of tears. It's an idiotic plotline, but that sort of rationalizing is 100% in-character for who EJ has been over the past few years.
Oh, and Nicole is so much fun lately. She's hurt, she's taunting Taylor... it's legitimately really good drama.

I thought the Sami/Rafe 2 scenes were fantastic. Rafe 2 was still his creepy self the way he was trying to come on to her again....that was so revolting. I'm glad Sami stood up to him. Loved her lines to him about how he is in bed! Way to bust a guy's ego, good for you Sami! And bringing up history about John and Marlena was excellent. Well acted scenes indeed.
Nicole/Arianne are on fire lately! I loved the little nuances to her delivery and facial expressions when she was talking to Taylor. Very calculated and smooth. I love the way she's toying with both Taylor and EJ. It's about time Nicole gets to be on top!
I absolutely do not like what they are trying to do with this Brady/Melanie/Dario crap. It's Nathan/Melanie/Philip redux. No thanks.

Ya know, violence is never the answer of course....but I think I would've slapped FAKE Rafe a long time ago. I almost applauded however when Sami told him how he was not good in bed. I was afraid HE was going to get violent, however. I am sooooo ready for Sami to find her real Rafe and have a happy reunion.

I also (for once) enjoyed the Sami/Rafe 2 scenes. It was nice to see Sami get some of her fire, and definitely nice for them to give a nod to her past and her parents' behavior.
Nicole is always awesome, to me.
I can honestly admit, I don't pay attention to Dario and Mel. I'm not going to turn the show off for them, but I don't want to watch them any more. It's sad that they've used Brady as a prop for Mel, and it's also become unwatchable for me.
