Is anyone planning to watch? It starts tonight (Sunday) and it was produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor Fame and Roma Downey from Touched By An Angel.

I want to watch it but wasn't home tonight. I was very leery when I saw the channel that is airing it. Then I read an article in TV Guide about it. It looks really good.

I wanted to watch it, but it was on the same time as Walking Dead... and I don't have a DVR.

Because the History Channel as well as other channels tend to air religious programming that is not very respectful IMO.

I only watched the first 40 minutes or so. Until Soddom was destroyed. What I saw was awful. Bad acting, bad directing, bad casting. What really turned me off was the gratuitous violence. I know biblical times were violent, but they had an Asian actor playing the part of one of the Lord's angels and he was flailing a couple swords like a Ninja warrior, and stabbing people, several at a time, in a cartoonish fashion. If they were trying to pander to who they perceive to be today's viewers, that's fine. Meanwhile, they lost me as a viewer.

Oh, I'm sorry to read that Kpatch. I recorded the first episode and was looking forward to watching it. I really love Biblical history and stuff. Now, it doesn't sound so great.

It looks like the episodes are airing several times. Or at least the first one is.

I saw the first one. I don't mind them mixing up the ethnicity, but the acting was pretty bad (and very comical). I'll probably watch the others, but not if something else is on.

We are watching Part 3 right now. I like it. Hubby has watched most of it so far. It's available on-demand here.
