"Nicole has DNA evidence that Rafe was kept in the Dimera basement," explains Arianna Zucker. So she drops the bombshell on hr stunned hubby and refuses to end their marriage. "He is frustrated that Nicole is taking this tack, but not surprised because she's showing her true colors," shrugs James Scott. "He didn't necessarily expect her to roll over and play dead, but he's surprised she knew about the situation with Rafe and realizes he needs to change his tactics and come up with a smarter way of dealing with her." When Taylor arrives home, Nicole announces that she and EJ are going on a honeymoon. "Taylor is frustrated, because he told her he was going to ask Nicole for a divorce, and then says he's changed his mind, but can't say why," explains Scott. "He's frustrated, too, because he met this girl and threw logic to the wind and fell in love with her." While the trio is dealing with the fallout, Sami has some romantic troubles of her own. She arrives home from Colorado and discovers that "Rafe" had a one-night stand. "Rafe II stages this ridiculous fight with Dario so that Sami over-hears Dario saying that he caught 'Rafe' sleeping with another woman," previews Alison Sweeney. "It's definitely a planned thing on Rafe II's part to have Sami overhear that because Sami trying to work things out with him is completely contrary to Rafe II's plan. They have this knock-down, drag-out fight. She brings up her mom and John in the conference room, circa 1993. That's the breaking point for her, the fact that he cheated on her. She will never forgive him. There is no coming back from this." Sami throws him out, but leaves the loft while he's packing. "She grabs her purse, and stuff goes flying out of it and she picks it all up and she takes Rafe II's ATM card that the Dimeras had given him that has access to this account that has millions of dollars in it," picks up Galen Gering. "And he is reluctant to leave that behind. So he's driven to find her." Meanwhile, the real Rafe collapses in the woods and is found by a nun, who takes him to a convent. "He's sick and banged up and they nurse him back to health," says Gering. "He has this key and needs to get out of there to find out what it opens. He's also worried that he might be endangering these nuns, so he feels like he has to keep moving. He sees this medal from the Convent of the Holy Cross and is hit with this memory. He hears church bells and asks if there are any apartments around. So he goes to this apartment building with this key and starts trying the key in all these different doors. Ultimately, he finds the one door the key unlocks and there is Sami, bam." Thinking it's the imposter, Sami isn't so thrilled to see him. "She's like, 'Get the hell out of here! What are you doing back?' " laughs Gering. "They have these really cool scenes. He starts to garner all this information from Sami. He doesn't know who she is and then slowly, bit by bit, discovers that this woman is his wife and they have all these kids together. It's very heartfelt, not just for her, but for him." While those two are taking a stroll down memory lane, faux Rafe is heading to the safe house to retrieve his card... Credit to Forbidden Love . |

Thanks for the post! I am SO excited that Nicole is going to be able to put something over on EJ... I really like the two of them together (at least since it doesn't look like we'll have a Nicole/Brady pairing) but I always feel that she gets trampled on. She's got so much attitude and determination with everyone else, but doesn't show it much w/ EJ.

May sweeps are coming. May sweeps are coming. And these stories are coming to a head. The Rafe story sounds like a great way for it all to play out.
As for Nicole and EJ, I have a feeling that we've only just begun. If I were Nicole I'd head for the hills. Divorce him Nicole. He is going to one-up her and I worry what will happen to her. Maybe Brady will be there to save her?

Isn't august a sweeps month too? I always thought it was because a lot of things
Come to head the end of august (that was when Sami finally found out that EJ had kidnapped sydney!)... Mind you I have never heard it called august sweeps lol

Yeah, there are supposed to be sweeps in August too, but I noticed most of the good stuff is in November and May. I'd really like to watch interesting stories ALL year, instead of just a few months.

^^^ I agree. I almost don't care what happens with Rafe1&2. Or Sami. Or Taylor. Or EJ (at least a little bit. I still like him though.). Or Melanie. Or really any of the Hernandi. Let's see. Who's left?
I do care about Chloe, Nicole, Jenn and Dan (they're starting to grow on me like a fungus, I'm afraid), Maggie. That's about it, I'm afraid. Of course, I'll still be watching to see what DOES happen, even with the folks I'm sick of. Damn you writers!! *shakes fist indignantly, but ultimately surrenders*

I do care about Rafe1, only to see the story line move a bit. I don't care if he gets back with Sami, though.
I don't care about Taylor/EJ at all.
And, I really, REALLY don't care about Dario/Melanie and the whole Arianna whodunnit. Seriously... I can tolerate Mel when she's not in Dario's orbit and at the Kiriakis mansion, and think she'd be good on Victor's payroll doing something mischievous.
Tangent there, sorry...
I'm excited to see Sami's reaction to seeing two Rafes, though. Bring out the popcorn!
