The search for Ciara and Theo continues this week, and the tension is mounting as Lexie blames Hope for the children running away, while Bo and Abe are focused on finding them.
"Bo and Hope are grasping at straws," describes Kristian Alfonso. "There wasn't that much revealed about why Ciara ran away. They're also absolutely terrified, because it feels like [losing Ciara] is happening all over again."
This time around, however, Bo and Hope aren't bickering about the best plan for finding their lost child. "Bo and Hope have to be on the same team," Alfonso explains. "Back when Ciara was kidnapped, Bo wanted to handle things differently, which is what drove them apart. So they have to be on the same page."
Meanwhile, the kids encounter Leah, a tough teen runaway, who ultimately takes pity onm them and shares her food. In return, Ciara insists that Leah accept her necklace, which was a gift from Hope. Later, a police officer questions Leah, and when she tries to flee, the pankicked teen drops Ciara's necklace.
Then Rafe2 also accidentally crosses paths with the kids. He confuses Ciara and Theo when he promises not to turn them in, provided they don't tell anyone they saw him. Ciara agrees, but Theo is relcutant, so a desperate Rafe2 fears he may have to take drastic measures to keep them quiet.
Elsewhere, Bo and Hope grill Leach, who gives them tips about the kids' whereabouts. Following the lead, Bo finds the children with Rafe2 and assumes that he rescued them. "It's a little surprising," notes Alfonso. "But everyone is thankful. That have such gratitude towards Rafe because he found their baby."
With Ciara safely back home, Bo and Hope will continue to mend their relationship. "They're trying to take baby steps and trying to make things work," Alfonso points out. "Bo and Hope are rediscovering themselves as husband and wife, and also as parents."
