@tabby, sorry, I do not know the answer off-hand. Maybe someone else can answer?
@mae - your answer made perfect sense and it preserves the couple's history. That may not have been the intent of the dialog, but I choose to go with your interpretation.

Melanie and Chloe made peace less than two months, so I'm having issues with trying to figure out what happened to make things turn so bad. This whole thing is just really sad. I'm just worried that these events will just make the ratings go even lower than they already are.

Melanie's rambling was a bit everywhere and did get confusing, but here was what I got out of it. Melanie is deeply saddened by the fact that Phillip "ran off". I agree that I think she was holding out hope that they would find their way back to one another and that he would at least put up more of a fight to keep her. She is back to staying in the house where her & Phillip made so many memories and she's having a hard time coming to grips with that reality. I think that she's grasping at straws and exaggerating some small occurances in trying to find reasons that they are not meant to be together and trying to convince herself that he was just another bad decision. She's trying to numb the pain that she is feeling right now but she also knows that her and Brady have crossed a line that she wasn't ready for. I believe that she's also trying to point out her flaws to him and make him see her in a bad light in hopes that it takes them back to the friendship thy had before "the kiss". That is an awesome answer and so in character and I definitely can see it all very plausibly. That would be a very human reaction as well.

She wanted him to have a stable happy home with both his parents. But her anger toward Chloe never truly dissipated and she clearly blames Chloe for the ending of her marriage. I am glad to see the animosity back. It is more realistic this way. There is no way she should be forgiving the woman that broke her dad's heart and cheated with her husband.

Melanie is being pretty obnoxious, I think. No restraint system at all.

Melanie was so selfish today. The look she gave Maggie when Maggie told her to back off of Chloe was priceless. It's as if she was saying "how dare you talk to me that way!" She was all "oh poor me, you're taking Chloe's side over mine." Grow up already! And then she went back and complained to Brady about it and accused him of siding with Chloe also. Why is everything about her and her feelings?
I love how recently she's told people (Dario, Brady, maybe even her dad) to not tell her what to do or how to feel. And yet here she is berating Chloe once again and getting mad at Maggie for allowing Chloe to live with her. So now who's telling who what to do? Sheesh!

Maybe Melanie shouldn't be placing all of the blame on Chloe. Her indecision about Nathan put what happened between Chloe and Philip into motion. Then Philip went to Chloe's house. When Chloe stopped the kissing and asked Philip what are we doing, HIS reply was "I don't know and I don't care" and then he grabbed Chloe. So Melanie I don't think it was all Chloe! I guess it is easier to blame Chloe than to accept any responsibility. Your dad is no saint either Melanie!

^^ Fluffy, great post. But the thing is, Melanie wasn't there during the one night stand so she doesn't know how it all transpired. If she did, she'd never sit on that leather couch again.
Now that I've seen Tuesday's episode, I have just one question: Is Melanie 3 years old?
Melanie to Maggie: You like Chloe best. Melanie to Brady: You like Chloe best.
Sheesh. Time for a diaper change.

You'd think Daniel would replace the couch. He and Chloe rarely made it to the bedroom so it probably brings back memories. Melanie would probably burn it if she knew!

Yeah and then they way she flopped on it before Troy attacked her. She NEVER would have done that if she had known.
