Those of you who don't have an avatar yet, or just a blank one may want to try the Proboards avatar maker that's right inside your Profile settings. Just go to your profile and hit Edit. To the right, you'll see a box that says Edit Avatar. Click that and you'll get a little tour for creating your own avatar. You can play with face shape, facial features, hair, colors, accessories too. It's fun and it's all yours.
Check out Minako and DJM's profiles to see examples.
Alternatively, you can upload a picture of your choice.

It may be a connectivity issue for you Carla. I have experimented and have not had any problems with it.
