Was anyone really worried that Melanie was in mortal danger when Troy attacked her ... twice? Or when Dario attacked her? Or any time a stray hand appears on her shoulder and she jumps?
Is anyone worried that Ciara and Theo will be hurt? Or not found? Bo and Hope and Abe don't seem all that worried. Victor and Stefano seem the most worried. And Lexie.
I just don't care for manufactured danger and these stories seem manufactured and false.
Chloe's story seems real. It has had time to grow and progress and we've seen how and why she has gotten to this point. Same with Carly. It was organically grown and I understand why she is in the state she is in. I am, however, sorry to see these once-strong women in the midst of breakdowns.
Thoughts?

I agree completely kpatch. None of those stories give me any cause to worry. They just seem like plot devices. If Dario hadn't shown up no one would have even talked about Arianna's hit and run driver again. I am guessing that the purpose of the kids story is so that Rafe2 can find them and be a hero. You would think that Hope would be a wreck considering she already lost one child.
It is sad to have both Chloe and Carly falling apart at the same time. Perhaps TPTB could have spaced the two stories out a bit.
I wish the writers would go back to character driven stories rather than so many plot driven tales.

I hope this junk is because of the writing change. Perhaps this is the last of the stuff from the recently fired guy and they are scrambling a little bit.

Maybe the rumors of NBC wanting to cancel Days is true? If they make it just about unwatchable and the ratings are dropping, then they can use it as an excuse.. Truly, the show lately has been downright awful with only a few bright spots such as Vic & Mags....

I don't think the show is anywhere close to unwatchable....but I do understand we all like different things....no, I wasn't worried about Melanie in any of the incidents mentioned nor am I worried about Ciara and Theo.....(of course, when bad things go ahead and happen, such as Zack and Grace, we all have a fit then too......)
But I think I'm not particularly worried about Melanie is because I couldn't care less if she is in danger or anything else about her......
And Ciara and Theo are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.....I am soooo ready for them to fade into the back ground again...!!!
I have been worried about what Rafe2 is doing and what more he could have done to Sami....I am worried for Chloe, and am concerned with her spiralling mental state, ditto for Carly (and to think, like yesterday, I couldn't stand her....) and I'm worried for Nicole and her situation....
So even though each and every s/l doesn't do it for me, there are plenty that keep my interest and hold me to the show......

I hate the kids storyline. (totally STUPID and I hate that Hope is going throught this bs AGAIN), If they really want to surprise me, and gve us a good story that we can get excited over, how about the find TEK's DNA, not just Rafe's. I know those DiMera's have him somewhere. ;D
I admit I did not ff through Mel in the dark. I would have preferred that I didn't know Troy was in the closet...they need to not show us either so we can be surprised too! The most exciting part of the kidnapping story was when the cop came to Hope and Bo's house. and we didn't know what was going to happen.

And I don't like Vic/Maggie so I don't even have them to be bright spots in my world. All I keep chanting to myself is "bring on the pimp". I am hoping that Quinn will give me something to watch and get in to. |

Since Dr. Creepo called Stefano to report that Rafe1 had jumped to his death, you'd think Stefano would insist on seeing thoe body. After all, Stefano, of all people, knows that death is never final. He should seriously know better than to just accept Dr. Creepo's word. Jeez.

Stefano is not quite as on the ball about some of these things as he use to be.
Can we have some cliffhangers that are exciting?! Not these situations where we know everyone will be fine. Maybe that's part of the problem...between the internet and the magazines nothing is a surprise anymore!

Agreed. I like spoilers and I read them, but it seems like they cannot keep anything under wraps. Maybe if I didn't read them I would be a little more surprised and worried, but even then the situations that happen I don't really care about. With the kids running away, big whoop. Nobody got that excited over other than Lexie yelling at Hope. Yay. The whole Rafe/Rafe2 thing is meh. I am just ready for it to be over. I want a mystery or something like it that people would be invested in and care about. Not necessarily someone hurt but something that brings some life to the show while the characters work together or against each other to figure it out.
