I have been feeling so lousy I almost forgot we have a holiday coming up and I did start these holiday threads.

Happy Easter!!!! Unfortunately part of our Easter weekend will be a funeral, but on Easter Sunday the Easter Bunny will have hidden our baskets for my daughter to find and then we are going to my husband's grandmother's for the day. We should go to church with her, but I have never been to the Mennonite church before. So we may celebrate Him being risen from home and then go. We don't have a church here where we live that we go to. We usually go in our hometown but it wouldn't make any logistical sense to drive south to then drive northeast to come back west to come home. Confused yet?? Lol. Here are a couple pictures of Katie with some of my hubby's Great Aunt's Lambs.   |

I need to go shopping for Easter candy... nothing like waiting until the last minute. I will go through withdrawal from talking to you guys while I am at my in-laws for Easter. Luckily I don't leave until Saturday and return Sunday evening. I guess it isn't that long to be away. Happy Easter everyone! I still need to figure out which dress my 4 year old will wear. We haven't gotten out the warm weather clothes yet.

I just finished putting the candy in our Easter eggs tonight. I had bought up a bunch of candy before my C-section was scheduled (part of my 'nesting' phase was to stock up on groceries, get the Easter candy/decorations, and clean the house once through top to bottom)...turns out I bought way too much candy! Plus my mom fixes up a basket of toys/candy for all the grandkids and then also a small container of candy for the grown-ups. There will be no shortage of chocolate or Peeps around my house.  We're going to my mom's house on Sunday for dinner and egg-hunting if it's not raining (and here in OK we need the rain badly). My hubby works this weekend but he's off Monday and Annabelle is out of school, so we will do our egg-hunting on Monday afternoon. |
