MELANIE’S APARTMENT, THE NEXT MORNING

Melanie and Philip are getting dressed. Philip comes up behind Melanie and puts his arms around her.
Philip: Do you really have to go to work?
Melanie: Yes, they kind of expect me to show up.
Philip: Maybe you could be a little late today. He whispers in her ear. I want to make love to you again.
Melanie smiles.
Melanie: You just can’t get enough lately.
Philip: I’m trying to make up for lost time.
He kisses her.
Melanie: What are you doing today? Are you going to work?
Philip: Yes, I thought I’d show my face at Titan. See if my father remembers me.
Melanie: Ha. Of course he remembers you.
Philip: I wonder how everyone is going to react to seeing me alive.
Melanie: They may be a little shocked at first ...
Philip: Like you were.
Melanie: And then they’ll be really happy.
Philip: Like you were.
Melanie: Philip. Um.
Philip: Yes?
Melanie: I ... um ... I never thought I’d have the chance to say this again.
Philip: Say what?
Melanie: I love you.
Philip smiles.
Philip: I love you too.
Melanie: No, you don’t understand. I ... I really love you.
Philip: I really love you too.
They kiss.
Melanie: Maybe I could be just a little late for work today.

I just feel sad for Melanie now. When Philip finds out, and you just know he's going to, it's gonna be so bad for her. I wonder what the folks at Titan will say when he gets there. But where will he go? Java? Brady pup?

Btw, how many of you wish this is what was actually on screen? This reads soooo much better than what we get to see. Kpatch, have you ever thought of applying for a writting position at the show? You could show them what we really want!

Oh dear, I don't think I like this. Philip needs to remember NOW!! Poor Chloe. Her husband is shacking up with his ex because he has amnesia. That sucks!

No I do not feel bad for Melanie at all... She knows exactly what the truth is and knows what she really should be doing. She will get hurt & deservedly so.
Poor Chloe as she didn't do anything to deserve this and she still doesn't know where WESLEY is!!!

I don't like this idea. This whole Melanie thing needs to be dealt with and over. We need Chloe and Philip back together! Lol

Thanks for the chapter and a little bit of my favorite couple. Even if it is only for a little while it makes me smile. I do feel bad for Melanie because she is doing what she was told to do for Philip so he will not have a brain bleed. (I know that Daniel did not care if he lived or died, but Mel did). It is because of that she feel in love with him agian (I think she never really stopped loving him.) Looking forward to tomorrows chapter.

I don't know if any of my stories have ever caused anyone's blood pressure to go up before and I'm worried about you, melly. I'm feeling horribly guilty, but I'm afraid I can't give you any hints. I can, however, try to make you an appointment with Dr. Jonas. But he's been known to make some patient's BP rise too.

A SHORT WHILE LATER IN PHILIP'S OFFICE

Justin: Philip! Great to see you.
The two men embrace.
Philip: Thanks. It’s good to see you! Heck, it’s good to see everybody. Listen, I was looking over some paperwork. I was declared dead and I need to be ... resurrected. Do you know how to take care of that?
Justin: Piece of cake. Salem is the resurrection capital of the world. I’ve handled a dozen cases like this.
Philip is going through the stack of mail on his desk.
Philip: This is weird.
Justin: What is?
Philip: This. It’s my life insurance policy. Somehow or other, Chloe’s name is on it, and it was cashed in by her parents. Why the hell was Chloe’s name on my life insurance policy?
Justin: Because she’s your w...
Philip: She’s my what?
Justin: Um. She’s your friend and you’re a generous guy.
Philip: I’m not that generous. I think there was some larceny going on here. If the Wesleys got their hands on my life insurance benefits, they’re going to have to repay the money.
Justin: I’ll look into it.


NANCY AND CRAIG WESLEY’S HOME, LATER

Craig: I just got a call from Titan’s attorney.
Nancy: Uh oh.
Craig: Here’s the thing. No one is questioning why we took the money. But they want it back.
Nancy: We spent it!
Craig: Not all of it.
Nancy: There’s still time, right? I mean, if we haven’t got it, how are they going to get it from us?
Craig: They can’t. Let ‘em try.
Nancy: Let’s go to Madrid for the weekend.
Craig: And then after Madrid, we can swing on over to Monaco.
Nancy: Monte Carlo!
Craig: Exactly!
