Great chapter. Just love Craig and Nancy tring to hide. Boy Justin nearly let the cat out of the bag. I thought Philip would have known when Chloe's name was on the life insurance. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch.

THE PIER
Melanie is sitting on the bench as Chloe is walking by.
Chloe: Melanie.
Melanie: Oh, hello Chloe.
Chloe: You can’t do this.
Melanie: Excuse me?
Chloe: You can’t live with Philip like you’re married to him. It’s illegal.
Melanie: Ha, no, you see, um, it doesn’t work like that. You don’t get to tell me what to do and what not to do. I do what I want.
Chloe: I don’t think so.
Melanie: Well I do! And who are you to tell me about what’s legal, Miss Adulteress?
Chloe: Philip is my husband, not yours!
Melanie: Ya, well, here’s the thing. Payback’s a bitch. Haha. Besides which, he doesn’t seem to remember being married to you. Nope. Not at all. He’s blocked out that awful memory completely.
Chloe: Shut up. It was not awful. It was wonderful.
Melanie: Then why does he choose not to remember being married to you? ... Hmmm? I didn’t catch that. What did you say?
Chloe: He’s not “choosing” anything. He doesn’t remember because of the accident.
Melanie: The accident you caused. No wonder he doesn’t want to remember you.
Chloe: Why are you doing this, Melanie? You don’t want him. You don’t love him.
Melanie: That’s the ironic thing. You see, when Philip first came back and thought we were still married ... I was kind of mortified. I only went along with it because I’m a nurse and I didn’t want to make his condition worse. But then, after he made love to me the first few times, I realized that I actually am still in love with him. You could say I’ve fallen in love with him all over again.
Chloe: Don’t say that.
Melanie: It’s true. And our life is pretty perfect ... the way it was before you seduced him and had that one night stand ... which, by the way, he has no memory of. So you see, Chloe, you’re just an old girlfriend that he no longer gives a moment’s thought to.

Aaah! This is killing me! I'm not sure why I thought the story was ending today, but I'm sure glad it's not. Melanie is just being awful, but where is Chloe's backbone? She needs to rip Melanie a new one!

Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. Just love that Melanie is giving it to Chloe. Had to laugh at Chloe saying it was illegal for Mel to live with Philip. I don't know of any law against it. It is against the ten commandments yes, but I don't think Philip and Mel care to much about that. I would love to see Philip and Mel back together for good, but don't think that is how it is going to play out. Are we getting previews for the week ahead? Pretty please.

Ok. I know I'm in the minority here but I'm so glad that the shoe is on the other foot and now Chloe actually knows what it feels like..........to see the person you love with all your heart, step out on you. I believe that you do reap what you sow and that karma is a b**** and it's coming back to Chloe now. I truely hope she learns from this and remembers what this feels like when she is with her future mate whether it be Phillip or someone else.
