Ok what the heck here. I am almost 30 and I still have a hard time setting up a tent. They are what- 6? and they set up a tent all by themselves? Maybe I am missing something here, but I just don't think that is even possible. I know when I went to girl scout camp when I was little we had help putting up our tents until we were about 10 or so.

The writers seem to forget that they are CHILDREN and not teenagers. I can see if they were 13 or so, but 6?!? Most kindergardeners I know can barely tie their own shoes, much less set up a tent. Jeez.

I had a similar reaction to the whole Marco took Johnny & Sydney to the shooting range thing .... what this tells me is that the writers of these scenes have no experience of their own with these activities. If they knew the complications of setting up a tent (or the volume at a shooting range), they would know how ridiculous these scenarios are to put young kids into.

I believe Hope said something to the effect of it being a pop-up tent, very easy to set up. However, this whole thing is just ridiculous. Way back when Bo and Hope were arguing/fighting over the Ciara stuff, etc. I could see her thinking they were headed for divorce and being upset, acting out, etc. But Hope is back home now, Carly's gone and out of Ciara and Bo's lives, Bo and Hope are getting along and are nothing but loving toward each other and Ciara. So I just don't get this desire for a 6 year old to run away so that way her parents can be happy again. I know children often have a simplistic sense of reality and yes, Ciara has been through a lot, but how does someone so young decide to run away? It's just dumb.

Maybe Ciara has that same "delayed reaction" problem that apparently Hope is supposed to have ... remember how we were all supposed to believe that years after Zach's death when Hope and Chelsea had built a strong, genuine bond with each other and Bo & Hope had survived several other crisises together (including his pancreatic cancer), it wasn't until after Ciara was returned safely and unharmed from her kidnappers that Hope decided she just couldn't trust Bo and still had all these "unresolved" issues with him becuase of Zach's death - talk about a WTH situation. I agree with you, it doesn't make any sense that Ciara would have this reaction now ... but then again, she is a product of Salem so I guess it makes sense that it doesn't make sense.

I had the exact same reactions all you guys did about the tent.....WTH...!!! They set up a tent...?? But then I pictured my grandsons, the just turned 7 year old and the just turned 5 year old, and I believe together they could set up one of those kind of tents....we have to remember too that tents back in our day were waaaay different than tents now.....and I can see both my little yayhoos deciding to go on a little camping trip without telling, well, at least the 7 year old, the 5 year old has better sense and probably would think it was not a wise move.....but anyway, do we know where they are...?? Are they in the woods...?? On the DiMera estate....?? The Kiriakis estate...?? The rest stop out on the interstate...?? Or the dump where the tree haulers took all the branches...?? Too bad neither children can act any better than they do....they are sweet to look at, but dang....that's all, but dang......

On the plus side...at least these kids seems to have smarts that their parents don't. Well, maybe Hope. I have a 7 year old grandson with Autism; building a tent would be way complicated for him. On the other hand he could ride a two wheeler when he was 4. Maybe Theo has skills.

Hope said it was a pup tent, but it looked more like one that once you unroll it, it pops up. Maybe she meant pop tent? Pup tents you have to 'build'. /shrug.
