Rafe II has had his fill of Salem and is ready to leave this week, but several obstacles get in his way. "Nothing can be more annoying to Rafe 2 than this loving, supportive family that has suddenly cropped up out of nowhere," bemoans Galen Gering (Rafe 2).
So, when Gabi and Will learn that "Rafe" wants to leave town, they try and convince him to stay. Rafe 2 insists that he needs some time away, just like Sami. Gabi and Will can't get over the fact that Rafe 2 was going to leave without saying goodbye. Then, Dario arrives at the lot and protests Rafe 2's plan to take flight. He and Melanie are on the verge of catching Arianna's killer, and he wants his big brother in town for the arrest. "This family is invested in trying to help one another. It couldn't be a worse scenario for Rafe 2," sighs Galen Gering. "The fact that these siblings really care about one another, or are always trying to look out for each other, is clearly posing major problems for him."
Rafe 2 refuses to be swayed by Gabi or Dario and counters that his focus is on the living. In other words, himself! "Gabi and Dario can't understand what's going on with their brother," sighs Gering. "It's a total disaster for him!" At the Brady Pub, Rafe 2 informs Roman that he's taking a leave of absence from the police force. Roman refuses to grant it, because he needs help finding a missing Ciara and Theo. So, Rafe 2 abruptly quits. "At this point he just wants to get the hell out of Salem," Gering shrugs.
Before Rafe 2 has the chance to finally exit Salem, Stefano orders him to kill Troy, the drug dealer who has been demanding money from the DiMera's. Rafe 2 ignores Stefano's request and hits the runaway. Fate intervenes and, "His car breaks down," reveals Gering. Meanwhile, the real Rafe manages to free himself from the asylum and heads back to Salem...

God willing this happens tomorrow!!! But I'm sure this is for late April at the earliest. I'm so ready for this mess to come to a head SOON! Makes me feel REALLY bad for Rafe1 when he finally does make it back to town. Poor guy!

I can't wait to see Rafe1 work his way out of this mess either.

I've been sitting here trying to figure out who "Fate" is. I thought it was a combo name at first. LOLOL. I have to say that I like Rafe2 more than Rafe1 and I won't be happy to see Rafe1 return, but I do think it's time for Rafe2 to go. His work here is done. |

As much as I despise the character (cuz he's a real bad guy), I love Galen as Rafe2. He's so much more interesting. But the time has definately come for him to depart and we are left with boring Rafe1 (boRafe?). Oh well.

I'm looking forward to having Rafe back....I love the character and I love the actor......I would love to see him interact with more people than Sami though......he's at the cop shop, so a story with Bo and Roman would be good.....and Hope....I always wanted to see Rafe and Hope work together on something.......
And for all those people who don't like Rafe, let me point out he is the only one in town who was not fooled by EJ....he has never forgotten how horrid EJ is and has never ever forgiven him or looked the other way....even Roman turns a deaf ear and blind eye to EJ.....Rafe is not afraid of EJ and does not cut him any slack......so if for no other reason guys, we need him around so that all is not forgotten.......

I like Rafe too. If Sami can't be with Lucas, I want her with Rafe. I like that he supports her and knows all her crazy and is okay with it. I think that him coming back and trying to figure out who he is will give him some good material to sink his teeth into.

Galen has shown his acting chops; I am a fan of Rafe2 (sans the viloence). I am ready for Rafe1 to come back and sort his life out. it's bound to be a little fun to watch, don't you think? Maybe then Dario will leave. ;D
