TITAN JET

Philip tried to calm himself down, because it was a long flight across the Atlantic and over Europe and he wouldn’t be seeing Chloe today anyway.

Brady had invited Victor and Philip to the apartment for Sunday dinner, so he would definitely see her tomorrow. He wondered how she reacted when Brady told her he was coming to town. He wondered if she was as nervous and excited as he was. Somehow, he would have to find a way to see her alone.


BLACK APARTMENT, VIENNA

Chloe arrived home after her Saturday matinee performance. She went into the bedroom to change into something more comfortable and take a nap. Brady was passed out on his side of the bed with all his clothes on. She shook her head, knowing that he was probably sleeping off another bender.

Chloe was exhausted and she crawled into bed too. Although he didn’t wake up, Brady put his arm around Chloe.

The opera company added an extra performance this Sunday for some dignitaries coming in from London. Chloe couldn’t wait for it to be over so she could come home Sunday night and just veg out.


TITAN VIENNA

After the plane landed, a car picked them up and drove Victor and Philip to Titan’s Vienna offices. Brady was supposed to meet them there but he was nowhere to be found. Victor tried calling Brady’s cell phone and left several messages. Finally, Victor called the apartment. Chloe groggily answered the land line on the nightstand.

Chloe: Guten tag.
Victor: Who the hell is this?
Chloe: Victor?? It’s Chloe.
Victor: Chloe! Where the hell is Brady?
Chloe: Maybe you should just hang up and call again when you become a human being.
Victor: Don’t speak to me in that condescending tone, young lady!
Philip was standing next to Victor and, although he could hear only one side of the conversation, he could just imagine what Chloe was saying and he stifled his laughter.

Chloe: And don’t speak to me in that condescending tone.
Victor shook his head and rolled his eyes at Philip.
Victor: Fine. May I pleeease speak to Brady?
Chloe looked over at Brady who was still out cold.
Chloe: He’s ... um ... he’s not available. But I’ll tell him you called.
Victor: He’s supposed to be here.
Chloe: Be where?
Victor: At his office. He was supposed to meet us here.
Chloe: Meet you? You’re in town?
Victor: Yes. Philip and I are waiting for him.
Philip raised an eyebrow waiting to find out the reaction from the other end of the phone.
Chloe: Philip is with you?
Chloe sat up in bed and ran her hand through her hair as her mind raced a million miles a minute.
Victor: Yes of course Philip is with me. Didn’t Brady tell you we were coming?
She covered for Brady’s lack of communication.
Chloe: Oh, um, yes. I guess it must have slipped my mind. I’ve been very busy with the opera company.
Victor: When you see Brady, tell him to get his ass down here right away. We’ll see you tomorrow.
Chloe: See me? Tomorrow?
Victor: Yes dammit! Brady invited us for dinner at your place. Did that slip your mind too?
Chloe: It’s just ... I have two performances tomorrow, so I won’t be home until late.
Victor: A late supper will be fine. We have business we need to discuss with Brady about Monday’s board meeting, and they don’t concern you anyway. Good bye.

Even though Victor had ended the call, Chloe held onto the phone in shock. Victor and Philip were in Vienna? Philip is here? Somewhere between feeling elated and panicked, she started to hyperventilate. Oh my god. Why didn’t Brady tell me? Why didn’t Philip tell me? How on earth I am going to handle this tangled web of deceit?

I love how the story make them to think how she or he knew what's going on specially not give any information to eachothers. It's all jealousy, tempting or love.In this chapter i have feeling brady knows chloe has feelings for phillip, that's why when victor called she was clueless. i love it. :)

So glad Chloe finally found out about Philip coming to Vienna. Typical Victor to be a jerk to Chloe. I'm glad she gave it right back to him. Can't wait to see what happens now that Philip is in Vienna.
