I didn't really care for the scene between Maxine, Daniel and Jennifer today. It was too "forced" and not at all believeable. No interns are going to start following Daniel around without a chief resident (who calls the shots) and Jennifer being the personnel director would have nothing to do with this anyway. Also, the top that Jennifer had on was pretty low cut and I had to ask myself- "where's the open heart surgery scar?"

Mar, you injecting realism again? Silly girl. Jennifer is in charge of public relations. The scene didn't bother me the way it bothered you, but I get what you mean. The hands touching the pen at the same time is like EJ and Taylor touching the scarf at the same time. It's overused and unimaginative. I guess they wanted to have Maxine witness all this so that the hospital staff could have something to gossip about. I did like the conversation that Jennifer and Daniel had about avoiding the rebound routine and thought it was amusing that Jennifer said Daniel would be a poor substitute for Jack. I agree!

Ya know what bugged me about the scene? I know Daniel was trying to appear aloof toward Jennifer, but I thought it was incredibly rude that he had his back to Maxine the whole time. Made him look more like a pompous doctor than he already does.

I thought the same thing too. He was acting like a jerk, not only to Jennifer, but to Maxine as well.

I agree, but I did like their conversation once Maxine left.

Normally, I love the scenes with Maxine, but I thought that the scene wasn't well done at all by any of them.
Jennifer looked agitated and angry. Maxine's lines were sort of forced, and I don't think anyone who just met anyone would talk to someone like that (esp. in a business setting). Daniel was definitely rude (with his back turned and playing on his phone).
The whole thing was jittery and not really naturally flowing, and it made me wonder if someone tooted, and they didn't want to be in the small space together. Jennifer and Daniel didn't even look at each other (which I think one good stolen glance would have been better. That's what Missy/Jennifer is good at).
I did love the conversation afterward, though. And, I also loved the "poor substitute for Jack" line, and how it irritated Daniel after the encounter.

^^ Too bad Taylor didn't have a walk-on during the scene. Then we would have known for sure. LOL.

HA HA HA I cannot wait until her and her smelling dog poo looks are gone! Oh, and the insane bumpit. You know, she is the first person on DOOL that I have seen wear her hair the EXACT same way EVERY single day!

Maybe even the hair/makeup department realized she wasn't going to be around long, so they didn't bother to get creative with her.

Oh gosh, I'm those brown shoes again...!!!!! I liked the scenes with the 3 of them......I thought Daniel acted extremely cute and when Maxine delivers her lines with such edge, I'm surprised someone doesn't get a paper cut....and yes, Daniel acting uninterested and nonchalant did borderline on being rude......but heck, Maxine was rude, Daniel was rude, and Jennifer was dumb......but I still thought it was cute.....

I honestly wasn't thrilled with these scenes, and I usually LOVE Maxine.Jennifer this time around bugs me (or maybe it's just Jen without Jack bugs me),but I DID love the "poor subsititute for Jack"comment.

Ahhh yes... kpatch... I know I expect more realism from a daytime soap, but geesh! am I asking too much? Days has been centered around Salem University Hospital since it's conception in 1965. Wouldn't you think that the writers would know their subject matter? Oh and I also get pissed off when I see no one at the nurse's station or not a nurse in site anywhere... an ICU that doesn't have a nurse within earshot at anytime... doctors giving the meds to the patients... just being able to walz in off the street and being put into a room... all I ask is for a little more believeability. Maybe I should be watching NCIS. LOL

I gave up expecting anything close to realism a looooooong time ago. Probably around the same time Stefano "died" for the 5th time. I'm mean, come on. Jenn JUST had open heart surgery and she's already wearing low cut tops??? My grandmother had open heart surgery over a year ago and her scar is STILL pretty gnarly. One thing I did notice was during Bo and Hope's "consumation" scene. They remembered that Bo has a tattoo on his shoulder. I was afraid they would forget. So I was please at that little bit of continuity. If Peter actually has that tattoo, then nevermind. But if it's fake, kudos to the wardrobe/makeup people for remembering it.
