Alison Sweeney (Sami), who will hit the two-decade mark in Salem in January, 2013, has inked a new deal to stay on the soap she's called home since she was a teenager. "I am super-excited to stay, and I am so honored that they asked me to stay," the actress tells Digest exclusively. "The job continues to surprise and challenge me. I have already shot my 20th anniversary episode, which airs on January 6, so I had this huge milestone and it's been such an amazing journey. I saw the SOD tweet earlier today and my first thought really was "Dang it. I wish she was leaving." Then again if she left, there wouldn't be anyone to prop the show around.  |

Glad for Sweeney but I also wouldnt mind if Sami left town for awhile would've given some air for other leading ladies but thats just my opinion.

Ha! I can see I didn't stumble into a meeting of the Alison Sweeney Fan Club here!
I don't mind Alison, but I'm sick and tired of the show playing musical chairs with her romantic partners.

I don't mind her either, but I resent when she hosts shows & gets introduced as the star of The Biggest Loser.
