OK, when EJ was comforting Nicole towards the end of the show, he seemed very genuine.....his words were wonderful (wish I had them to put here, but alas, my shorthand isn't what it used to be...(does anyone even know what shorthand is now days..??) ), he basically assured her she was a good daughter to Fay, and he actually choked up with tears......I know EJ couldn't care less about Fay being dead, but I think he felt really bad for Nicole and wanted to ease her pain.......too bad they didn't let them be a couple and work together...they would certainly be a pair to be reckoned with.....but nooooooo, we had to get the dog S*** sniffer......

I agree...
I think with EJ, he genuinely likes Nicole. Had Taylor not come along, he and Nicole would probably be genuinely happy, That's the beauty of the triangle. You know he could have been happy and Nicole could have given him the live they both wanted together. But, there will always be Taylor.
I actually am choking this out, but I liked EJ with Nicole (not Taylor).

I thought EJ was amazing with Nicole on Monday. I was kind of stunned that his words seemed so heartfelt and struck exactly the right note.
When you think about it, Nicole really was responsible for her mother's death. Think about this. If you were married to a Dimera, would you want your family to move in? Would you let your family within a hundred miles of them? Being near a Dimera means you are in danger. If Fay was sick, Nicole should have hired round-the-clock care for her -- somewhere else. But because Fay was in the Dimera household, she overheard something she shouldn't have. That's why she was eliminated.

I can't blame her for wanting her sick mother around her, but if it were me and I was under the same roof as Stefano Dimera, ain't no way I'd let anyone I love anywhere NEAR that house. In fact, I'd try everything I could to get my husband to move out.
But I get what you're saying kpatch. And I'm pretty sure Nicole is going to beat herself up about it too. After all, we can't have strong women around anywhere in Salem. What I'm wondering is when she does figure it out (that Rafe was actually Rafe2) will she ever figure it out that Rafe2 killed her mom? And if so, will she turn against EJ?

Kpatch-I get what you're saying, but I don't agree that Nicole was responsible for Faye's death just because she encouraged her to move into the DiMera home. That's like saying ultimately Faye was responsible for her own death, because had she never given birth to Nicole, she never could have moved in with her... Nicole had no reason to suspect that Faye would be privy to any information that could lead to her demise. But I do get what you're saying. Why move the people you love into a household full of notorious people who are hell bent on keeping dangerous secrets.

Like EJ said in today's episode, Nicole was suspicious before any of this happened. She was suspicious of the renos in the basement, etc. 'Knowing' that something was going on without knowing what, she should never have moved them into the house. The guesthouse would have been great for her.

Gotta admit too Pallsion that I was soaking up the scenes with EJ and Nicole too. I can really enjoy EJ with Nicole. Don't FF at all. James should be asking for more screen time with Ari Z, she really brings out the best in him,
