SOD: Valerie Wildman OUT at Days
Rafe kills Fay this week, which marks the tragic end of Valerie Wildman's run on DAYS. "Fay has been a part of my life since 1999 and I have grown to love her more and more and more," says the actress. "As you can imagine, there are lots of different feelings about it. Utter gratitude is one. The scenes have been amazing and everybody on set has just been so wonderful in so many ways."
The actress, who is a spokesperson for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, is pursuing a Ph.D in child and adolescence psychology and works to bring awareness to the plight of battered women, found her alter ego's sendoff especially ironic. "Sometimes, as the actor, our job is to serve and I hope I can serve in some way by bringing issues to the forefront," she notes. "These were complex scenes and beautifully written and I'm glad that I got to play them. The Walkers have had storylines that face a lot of difficult issues, which I think is important."
Wildman plans to continue her studies and pursue new acting gigs. "For most of my career, I've played the rich, sexy vixens. I think it would be nice to play someone like that. I would like to play something comedic. I'm still filming people who are angels among us in The City of Angels. Jim Reynolds [Abe] helped me. I might do them as episodes or video blogs. Angels are everywhere. Or, maybe Fay will have a doppelganger, a Fay II. Anything's possible!"

I was never a huge fan of Fay but I didn't hate her either. I'm kinda pissed that they're killing her off at the hands of this ridiculous Rafe 2 storyline. Poor Nicole. Maybe she'll be the one to figure it out and put us all out of our misery and kill Rafe 2. Pretty please!

Good riddance to Fay......sorry, just have never liked her.....she was better this run than the others, but I think we will all survive just fine without the chance of Fay coming back to town......

Here's a clip of it.....go to about 4:47 when Marlena proceeds to beat the heck out of John, slips and falls over the balcony and lands right on Sami....!!! I just thought the whole thing was hilarious...wait till you see Marlena falling....!!!!! Now those were the good old campy days of Days.....!!!!
