SOD: Nicole Figures It Out!
Rafe II gets away with murder this week when he successfully kills Fay in the hospital. News of her mother's death sends Nicole into an emotional tailspin.
"Nicole blames herself for her mother dying because none of this would have happened if she didn't move her into the mansion," sighs Arianne Zucker (Nicole). "She feels an overwhelming, horrible guilt and she lashes out because she's so upset. She lashes out at Taylor, she lashes out at EJ. She lashes out at Fay being dead."
A reeling Nicole vows to find out what her mother's last words - "EJ's secret"- mean. She gets a clue when she overhears a conversation between EJ and Stefano, where he says he thinks Fay knew about them and Rafe. "She doesn't hear the whole thing; she just basically hears him saying that sentence," explains Zucker. "She puts two and two together because Rafe has been acting weird and when she brought the kids over, he was acting flirty, and she starts going, 'Wait a second. What's the deal with Rafe since his accident?' She remembers things like, 'Don't go into the basement.' She puts all the pieces together from when she didn't want to know anything. Now she wants to know."
Nicole heads to the loft to investigate "Rafe", who responds to her inquires by planting a kiss on her. "He puts the moves on her; it's totally out of character," observes Zucker. "Rafe hates Nicole and now he's this changed guy? She slaps him. She says, 'Don't pull that again on me. How dare you kiss me.'" Rafe II blames the accident for his behavior and he and Nicole agree not to mention anything to EJ. Unfortunately, when EJ meets "Rafe" later he lets it slip about Nicole stopping by.
Back at the DiMera manse, Nicole wonders how EJ fits into this story. "She is wondering if EJ was involved in Fay's death because he didn't want her moving in at first," says Zucker. "And then how is Rafe involved? Did EJ somehow cause his accident? How does this all tie together? Something has to connect here and her mom was the fall of it. Her mother its dead and she's not messing around. She's on it."
EJ returns home and plays a game of cat and mouse with his wife to find out what she knows...

Oh hell yes! Finally! I have been waiting for Nicole to return. :fistpumping: I'll bet EJ has to walk on some pretty thin ice with his "feelings" for Taylor hanging out all over the place. Oh my...what if EJ tries to get rid of Nicole?!!!!! Brady to the rescue? Oh please someone be listening to lil ole me...

Finally!! It sounds like the Salem brain is going to Nicole. It's about freaking time! Sheesh! I really hope she puts all the pieces together. Can't wait to see her slap Rafe 2. Wish she'd kick him in the nuts instead but I guess a slap will do. ;D

I had a feeling it would be Nicole who figures it all out first.Question now is will she bring her findings to Sami?Either way though,her relationship with Rafe is screwed even if the real Rafe makes his way back to her.Afer everything Rafe2 has done,I really don't see Sami getting past it very well.

I think he is gonna be screwed. Make his way back with no memory and be arrested for killing Faye, the whole one person stakeout incident with McCarthy, etc. His entire life is gonna e screwed. I think it could be good watching him try to get his life back together!

I'll bet Stefano and EJ get rid of Rafe2 and let the real Rafe out just to save their behinds. If this doesn't push Sami over the edge I don't know what will.

I had said way back that it would be Nicole that finds out the truth. She was the one that found out the sydnapping...only female with brains when she uses them.

I think he is gonna be screwed. Make his way back with no memory and be arrested for killing Faye, the whole one person stakeout incident with McCarthy, etc. His entire life is gonna e screwed. I think it could be good watching him try to get his life back together! And there inlies the drama.Rafe will have all these things hanging over his head,and to top it off,a HUGE trust issue with Sami to work through.Rafe2 has done so much damage to her emotionally through his word and actions,both towward her and her kids,that I don't see her saying "Hey welcome back,let's pick up where we left off". |

I think she will know immediately the difference. Or at least that is what I'm hoping. But then again, he is going to have NO idea who she is...I just want Rafe 2 gone now and want to get moving on

I'm pretty sure this is all going to come to a head during May sweeps, so at least we know the end is in sight. Can't happen soon enough though if you ask me.

I simply cannot WAIT for it to come to a head. I just want Rafe back at in Salem. In the real world. It is not like him to be held back for this long!

Looks like we won't be seeing that much of Sami anyway for a little while. She was on a book tour around this time and it seems that she also requested less screen time so she could be with her kids more. No offense to Ali, but that sounds good to me! Stay home sister, and give some other folks a chance to work.
