When Phillip announces that Chloe won't get shared custody of Parker this week, she gets drunk and takes her anger out on kate!
"Chloe doesn't handle the news very well," sighs Nadia Bjorlin.
But things begin on a literally sweet note, when Phillip takes Chloe to the Brady Pub for open mic night. "At first, Chloe isn't too thrilled about it, because she feels really rusty," Bjorlin recounts. "Chloe's such a perfectionist with her singing that she's uncomfortable doing it when she's out of practice."
Phillip encourages Chloe to keep her eyes focused on him and assures that she'll be great. "Phillip wants it to be the start of a new beginning for Chloe, in the sense of her getting back to the things that she loves to do," Bjorlin explains. "It's a sweet gesture, because Phillip knows that, other than Parker, music is really her life."
As Phillip predicted, Chloe sings beautifully and is encouraged by the applause. But later in the week, Chloe's mood crashes when Phillip informs her that the social worker has nixed shared custody of Parker. "Here she is, trying to get her life back on track, staying on her medication and getting therapy to treat her depression. So this is the last thing she wanted to hear," explains Bjorlin.
Anxious to numb her pain, Chloe proceeds to get drunk. "Chloe is on a self-destructive path," acknowledges Bjorlin. "She doesn't know how to handle her feelings."
Chloe's problems escalate when Kate appears and sees her drinking at the bar. Frustrated that Phillip is still trying to help Chloe, Kate confronts her and says she's a horrible mother. She also promises to keep Chloe out of Parker and Phillip's lives forever. "Unfortunately, drinking on top of taking medication is never a good combination," Bjorlin points out. "Her judgment is definitely impaired."
In a fit of rage, Chloe hurls a drink in Kate's face and storms off. Has Chloe finally given Kate the ammunition to follow through on her promise?

Aha...so now we see that Parker is going away too. Sadly, I had an inkling it could go this way. Chloe will be free again to pursue other triangles. Oh Corday you are such an original guy.

It makes me sad that they use the babies all the time. Grrr. However, I like the idea of Parker going away with Philip...and then maybe everyone can stop talking about him being a crappy dad. When he comes back, I bet Parker will be soras'd.

Holy spoilers, batman! Thanks GG! I see you've posted a bunch of spoilers....yay!! ;D Ugh....I don't know how I feel about this. In one respect, I'm glad it looks like Philip will be taking Parker with him when he leaves town so he'll actually get to be the father he deserves to be. But on the other hand, I hate that Chloe loses custody. It's just not right. And of course she has to go get drunk and give Kate ammo to use against her. I suppose once Philip leaves with Parker, Kate will blame Chloe for it. On a happier note, I look forward to the Phloe "date" at the Pub!

Yes, the Phloe date. Love that phrase, Sparky. The part where Philip tells Chloe to look at him while she's singing reminds me of an episode of Gilmore Girls in the final season. Lorelai was at a karaoke bar singing I Will Always Love You when Luke walked in. Their eyes locked and suddenly she was singing the song to him, and they both knew it. Makes me think "what might have been" for Philip and Chloe if Philip weren't leaving. I need to drive myself over to the pity party thread now. I don't like that Chloe goes and gets drunk. Where is the smart confident Chloe from high school? She would have said "I'll show them" and worked at being the person she needed to be to get custody of her son. Instead she's a weak caricature. Thanks for loading us up on spoilers, GG. These are great!

So sad that Chloe is going to lose Parker! Even sadder she is going to lose what could be with Phillip along with it.

I know things don't sound like things are going to go good for Chloe according to this article but I think that some good things could actually come from Philip's exit being played out this way.
This is definitely not the way I would have liked to see Philip exit Days but I don't hate the way the writers are writing him out. I would have rather have had something a little more dramatic like Philip and Chloe growing closer and finally admitting that they belong together and then Philip ends up having to leave town for a business meeting and ends up being presumed dead in a plane crash and Chloe is left to pick up the pieces of her life with Parker and dealing with the loss of the love of her life.
Well it looks like Philip may end up leaving town with Parker after all. As much as I would have liked to have seen Chloe have a chance to raise her little boy it probably is for the best that Parker leaves the show with Philip for now. Chloe's life is a mess right now and she is in no shape to raise a child on her own without Philip being around to help her. At least if Parker leaves town with Philip, Philip will have a chance to be a good father to his son something he couldn't do with his other son and he would be doing what he feels is the best thing for his son at that moment. Philip keeps trying to help Chloe get her life back together and she keeps not trusting him to do right by her and Parker. I wonder if Kate is going to get in touch with CPS to make sure Chloe does not have any chance of getting her parental rights back and Philip could be warned that he could lose his rights too if he allows Chloe any where near Parker and he decides to leave Salem so that Chloe won't have to deal with not being able to be a part of Parker's life and plus he warned his mom if she interfered in Chloe's and Parker's lives she would not be allowed to be a part of his son's life so by him leaving town he keeps Parker from Kate. I am hoping that Chloe will give Philip her blessing to take Parker out of town and raise him and keep him safe. The one thing I hope that comes out of all this mess is that Philip and Chloe realize that they do love each other and just can't be together right now because of the circumstances regarding Parker's custody. I think once Philip is gone, Chloe is going to end up realizing that she needs to get her life back in order so that she can be a part of her son's life. It sounds like Days is leaving the door wide open for Philip to come back if Jay decides he wants to reprise the role again in the future or for Chloe to leave Salem and go be a family with Philip and Parker if Nadia decides not to renew her contract when it expires in November or the show decides to fire her if her newest pairing with the new guy Quinn doesn't take off. No matter what I am just happy that the door is being left open for Phloe to be explored again sometime in the future.

Hey, you should head over to fancreations and read First Love Last Love...but bring tissues. I am thrilled with this exit for Philip. Not so thrilled for Chloe. But I guess they needed a fall guy and she's it. On the other hand I hate that she is being written STILL not sure of Philip; after everything they have been through, I do not believe she would behave this way unless she is still suffering some kind of psychological issue. I think that his leaving with Parker may be the thing that allows him to come back to a relationship with her when Chloe is better, Hopefully WITH Jay, but at the very least I do not see Philip's character leaving Salem for good. Not with both of his parents still there and part of the major Salem families. Philip will be back, with Parker and hopefully Chloe will have her stuff together and be ready for him. Maybe the third time will be a charm, eh?
