CHEATIN’ HEART
[Readers: Please click the link to listen to the song that’s playing on the Cheatin'’ Heart juke box: ]
Bo: Does anybody know what time it is? Doug: It’s a quarter to three. Bo: Holy ****! Hope will have my head. Doug: Mine too. I was supposed to bring you home an hour ago. Bo: Well, I guess I’d better call her before she sends the police out to find me. [Turns his cell back on and makes a call.] Lucas: I’d better get home to Chloe and Allie. Rafe: Sami will kill me for staying out so late. Bo [getting off the phone]: Yep, Hope wants me home pronto.
Philip: I gotta go too. I have an early meeting. You ready to go, Brady? Brady: I’m gonna hang out here a little while longer. Bo: Roman, you coming? Roman: Not just yet. You go on home, little brother. Steve: Well, I’m leaving too. It’s my turn for Joey’s middle-of-the-night feeding. Doug: And it IS the middle of the night already. Let’s go gents. Daniel: I’d stay longer, but I have a 6:00 a.m. surgery, so I’d better get in a couple hours of sleep. See you later.
[All the men leave except for Brady and Roman.] Max: One more for the road, guys? Roman: Thanks, Max. Brady: You know, I learned something today, Roman. Roman: What’s that, kid? Brady: I always thought I wanted to find a woman that I could spend my life with. Roman: And now? Brady: After listening to all these men talk about their wives and girlfriends and how hard it all is ... Roman: Yes? Brady: Let’s just say I’m not in any rush anymore. Roman [raises his beer glass and clinks it against Brady’s glass]: That’s what I’ve been saying for years.

NBC BOARDROOM
Dorkay: Thanks for all your help, Molly. Molly: I didn’t do much. Dorkay: You helped out with the final two chapters, as well as the cameo appearance. And you got Victor to come help, and frankly... Molly: What? Didn’t you like working with him? I figured an experienced man like John could be a big help with a story about men. Dorkay: Oh he was. And he’s a consummate professional. But like I said, he’s not you. Are you sure you won’t ever consider coming back? Molly: To tell the truth, I miss the fans. Dorkay: Only the fans? Molly: Um. Well, I know enough to never say never. After all, Deidre left and came back, Drake left and came back, same with Mary Beth, Stephen, Peter, Kristian, Jay.... Dorkay: Listen, I had a meeting with the NBC president and NBC has given me an actual budget because Daytime Cereal and Boys’ Night Out were so successful. And I’d like to ... Molly: You’d like to ...? Dorkay: Offer you a position as story consultant. Molly: But I already have a job. Dorkay: And you wouldn’t have to give it up. You can still work on Y&R and Blue Mountain State if that’s what you want to do. But we’d put you on retainer to help out with kpatch’s stories from time to time. Molly: Me? Really? Dorkay: Sure, you have lots of fans. Molly: I do? Dorkay: Of course. DJM and PAllison, to name a just a couple. They love you. Molly: I don’t know what to say. Dorkay: Say yes! Molly: I’d want my agent to look at the contract first. Dorkay: Of course. I wouldn’t have it any other way. So your answer is yes? Molly: Yes! Dorkay: Excellent! Why don’t we go over to the Rockefeller Center Cafe to celebrate? Molly: Um. Dorkay: What’s wrong? Molly: I want to make sure that you understand we’re just going out as friends, nothing more. Dorkay: Oh, but we’re much more than friends, Molly. Molly: Um, Mr. Dorkay.... Dorkay: We’re more than friends. We’re colleagues, Molly. And please, call me Dick.
