I've met Bryan Dattillo, Ali Sweeney, Drake Hogestyn, Judi Evans, Austin Peck, James Scott, Peter Reckell, Melissa Reeves, and Roark Critchlow.
Judi Evans was probably the sweetest person I've ever met in my life. I probably talked to Drake the longest as I was one of the winners for a small meet and greet session,

I want to meet Greg Vaughan, My co-worker has a pic of her and him from GH fan club weekend a few years ago...all hugged up and every time I see it I get so jealous. I adore that man.

Husband and I were talking about love in the afternoon (okay, more than talking about it), and he made the comment that Days doesn't seem like it's so much about romance as it is about people being selfish and mean to each other. Considering he doesn't watch, I thought he summed it up pretty well.

Considering he doesn't watch, I thought he summed it up pretty well. Isn't that all modern soaps? LOL I thought soaps were supposed to be about life, not necessarily love. I think a show all about romance would just be so cheesy and dull after a while. The catfights, back stabbing, side deals, and double crosses are what make me tune in. I like seeing love stories emerge from (or survive) these situations, but not necessarily be the focus.

He was just commenting on the snippets he's seen. I'd definitely like more romance in Days. Not insta-love, but a love story I can get into with a couple I want to root for. I find myself rooting against most of the pairings lately.

I guess long time Days fans would be out of sorts with the recent changes on the show. It has always been the "sappiest" of all soaps...aka romance heavy. (although I think there have been many love stories on the show since 2007)
I think that is why I like the show way more now than I ever have in the past 20 years...I like the other stuff more than the romance. I am hoping TomSell get back to the dock wars/Vendetta type stories they did in 2008/2009.
My husband has seen so much Days. I guess he is the opposite of your hubby. He also used to watch Rescue Me, which was totally a "man soap" and I would say romance was just a part of it, but other facets of life took center stage, much like daytime soaps do currently.

EVE! The only thing I liked about Shane and Kim. And Frankie...well mmm Billy Warlock. He was better as AJ Quartermaine though.

Rescue me was for a Man show but I watched it anyway.. They definitely made women look dumb and mean..but then again the men weren't very worthy either.
I like some romance on the show, but it has to have excitement & mystery. This show so far is none of these. it has been boring.

I hear that a lot when people talk about the old "DAys" - mystery. What do they mean by that? As far as I saw Stefano always did it...how is that in any way mysterious? I'm trying really hard not to compare it to GH when I ask this question, because there is no comparison. I want to know what does MYSTERY mean to Days viewers.

Mystery is not the Stefano did it ones.. It is the ones where you have no idea who did it... Now the Who shot Stefano, could have been one but they blew it. The characters who may have done it, couldn't have done it so the whole thing was blamed at EJ.. to me it was obviously Ian. With the right writing, it could have looked like maybe Chad, maybe Brady or Victor... but they didn't even come close.

Days used to do the adventure stories so well. It was romance/danger/adventure all together. There was so much longing before we even got a kiss and definitely before there was any sex.
I would love to see some romance on the show again.

I would like to see the actors step outside the studio. I'm so sick of every dang set, it's driving me crazy!!!
