This appeared in the Sound Off section of Soap Opera Digest a few issues back. It's a letter to SOD from a fan. I swear I didn't write it, but the person who did feels pretty much the same way I do.
"A Sad Day
Having been a Days of Our Lives “Phloe” fan since they were in high school, I have been loving the story of Philip and Chloe’s one-night stand and the aftermath. When the story finally came to its thrilling climax at Parker’s christening, I was ecstatic. I thought, “Finally! Philip and Chloe are going to find their way back to each other.” That hope quickly died when I learned the news that Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip) is leaving the show.
There are no words to describe how devastated I am about Johnson’s departure. He is a huge asset to this show. No one was happier than I was when he returned last time, and all I can do now is pray that he will be back again someday soon to reprise his role.
Chloe and Philip belong together, and I think they are well past due to have the adult romance they deserve. I will sorely miss both Johnson and Philip."

Has a younger brother named Jeff and a younger sister named Jenna.
As a singer he has a distinctive strong, husky voice and a very impressive range.
Is a fan of vocalists Lenny Kravitz, Anthony Kiedis, Jim Morrison and Robert Plant.
Did you know Philip's middle name is Robert?? (I didn't)

Thanks SG! Now I can see the video. For some reason, the videos weren't showing up for me when I first read it, which is why I asked the question. I remember that clip from a while ago. Love how Nadia says he can get her to do anything when he smiles. LOL.
Hard to believe that Austin Peck is ahead of Jay on that list, but that's what makes horse races.

Well if we didn't know we couldn't vote and I think our votes would have turned the tide for Jay.
I showed my daughter the thread this weekend, she thinks Jay is so "pretty". I don't think Days has given Philip his just due for beefcake. He got Morgan and Stephanie on the terrace and then sweet lovemaking with Mel (which he did nicely, mind you) but with someone who can do smoking sexy like Chloe, that was hot and we aren't allowed seconds? If they paired them together Philip's numbers would go waaaaay up don't you think?

It says on Jason's site that Jay's last airdate is the 19th not the 18th.
