In the meantime, I hope they don't demonize Philip for keeping custody of Parker or for any other reason, while he's offscreen and can't speak for himself. Tomlin is the one that gave Philip custody. Why would they demonize him for doing the right thing for his child? Chloe was a drunken mess at the time of Philip's exit. Personally I'm hoping all was not peachy in Chicago and Philip made her work for it with Parker...because her character needed that.

By demonize, I mean that he will not have the opportunity to defend himself or speak for his actions. We will only get one side of the story. For example, I hated that they gave Alice all these secrets without her having the ability to explain why she did what she did.

Well I'm going to give Nadia the benefit of the doubt that she was joking. Also, she doesn't get to decide how the piece is edited. As far as not knowing her character, I've hears several days actors says things like that with all of the writing changes they had trouble understanding their character because they would do and say one thing and then the next day do the opposite because the tiic decided to chamfer direction. Id like to see Phillip come chasing after Chloe and his child kind of like a redo of the sl with belle and Claire except this time kids his and he gets the girl.

I agree, Wendylou. Much of the burden lies with the editor. Couples don't raise their kids together on soaps. It kills the baby mama drama. Bo and Hope raised Shawn and Ciara. Marlena and John raised Belle. There are a lot of ways to create drama. It gets tiresome seeing the same stories rehashed, just by replacing characters. I've written a 10-part Phloe fanfic with virtually no triangles or paternity drama, but rather organic drama from within rather than from without. People seem to like it.

Don't know if this was already said but just saw a tweet from days cafe that her return will be after Christmas.

I've written a 10-part Phloe fanfic with virtually no triangles or paternity drama, but rather organic drama from within rather than from without. People seem to like it. Bope and Jarlena are OLD. Modern soaps aren't told that way. Pocket will have to come back or Chloe will have to give birth again....then Phloe could be together with Parker. Your ten part saga had an end, you wrote a ROMANCE novel not a soap. Romance novels are like that...one couple facing the odds together...soaps and romantic fiction don't have to follow those conventions. Soaps theoretically don't have endings. They have to switch partners to keep things interesting. A father, mother, and a baby makes for pretty bland TV. How many times will the baby get sick? How many times will this one or that one get kidnapped? The reason why soaps do triangles is so you can create another romantic option for viewers, keeps things interesting. If you have baby mama (or baby daddy) drama you have instant internal angst for a couple...based on problems many of us face...blended families, not getting along with exes etc.

In my opinion, that's what soaps have been missing lately. A good love story. But I've veered off topic, and I apologize.

It is all a matter of perspective I suppose. Just because they don't last for years or don't have another person involved doesn't make them not entertaining. The good love story I hope Days does is actually involving Chloe. Chloe and (hopefully) Father Eric Brady! Praying to the soap gods hard over here.

I love Chloe and Nadia but not sure how I feel about her return right now. I DON'T want to see her and Nicole's friendship trashed over them fighting for some guy who won't stay with either of them.

Are the new writers the same writers that came up with the Chloe hooking story? If so, that doesn't leave me much hope for Chloe's return. If they couldn't write her the first time around, I highly doubt they will do right by her the 2nd time.

If it was the same writers I don't think she would have returned. She hated that story. She talked about that on Dirty Soap.

She may have not understood/hated her prostitution story but Chloe had a lot of material during the Higley/Tomlin years. I think that had a great deal to do with her return.. She had another man's child. Daniel would have stayed if she hadn't cheated on him. The man married her...he hadn't been able to fully commit since his wife died before then. I think their divorce was completely justified, He might have handled it better, but perfectly understandable that he left.

I really hope that the writers give Chloe a good storyline and something to work with. I would hate to see Nadia come back and not have a good storyline. She deserves to be utilized!!

Well, she said in the article that they were bringing back the old Chloe who can stand up for herself and isn't such a victim. I'm hoping she wouldn't have come back if they didn't promise to do better by the character. Whether they come through is another matter.
I don't like Daniel and Nicole together at all but as of this moment I will no longer complain about them. If they stay together, no Danloe. No matter what happens with Nicole and Daniel it will create an interesting dynamic between Chloe and Nicole. I hope they remain friends.
If there's no Phillip I'd rather see her with someone new like Eric or EJ.

Chloe would never stand a chance with EJ. His secrets about business alone would send her running to another man to find comfort faster than she did with Lucas & Daniel. Nevermind any hidden feelings he may have for Sami or Nicole.
I hope they don't rush her into a relationship when she comes back. The girl needs to prove she can stand on her own before throwing her into bed a relationship with someone.
